Adopt Sunny

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

Now we would like to introduce you to the cheerful Strahle-Maus Sunny. Like so many of her fellow animals, she was simply abandoned and would have probably died bitterly if our committed helpers in Romania did not fight so fantastically for every dog soul. Sunny is currently safely cared for on a foster home, but longs to travel to a safe forever home. Sweet Sunny presents herself as friendly and approachable. She gets along very well with other dogs and also gets along excellently with cats. According to her very young age, Sunny is now learning the first important chapters of the dog ABC. However, it will still take some time before she becomes a model student, because young dogs have so many things going through their minds every day - it's not so easy to keep track. In addition, adolescence is knocking on the door. During this extremely important phase of hormonal change, already learned commands can sometimes get mixed up. In addition, forgetfulness or disobedience can occur. Once the adolescence has passed, the little mouse will probably be a wonderful companion who stands by your side through thick and thin. We wish Sunny a spacious forever home that gives her love and warmth. A cuddly basket, her own toys, long walks through nature - all of this Sunny has not yet experienced. Now it's time for life to bless her and for Sunny to show a human heart what a wonderful soul lives in her. She will certainly have no objections to a confident first dog. Would you like to shine with Sunny in the future? After a positive. If necessary, she will be spayed before her arrival. Our sunshine would of course also be happy about a foster home. This dog will be rehomed together with the association Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. The double listing on both association websites and possibly advertising portals serves to increase his visibility and thus find the right home faster. There is close exchange with the association. Every inquiry for the dog is discussed directly and forwarded. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

About Sunny

What life with Sunny looks like

Sunny is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Arme Hundeseelen in Năsăud.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇷🇴Adopting from Romania

Romanian rescues handle the highest volume of cross-border adoptions in the EU. Animals are quarantined and fully vetted before transport. Reputable rescues maintain detailed health records and post-adoption follow-up.

Frequently asked

Adopting Sunny, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Sunny?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Arme Hundeseelen handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Sunny on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Sunny if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Arme Hundeseelen will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Sunny already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Sunny isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Arme Hundeseelen early rather than rehoming privately; they know Sunny and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
