Svyatik (Святік)

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 3 years

We found him in a broken blind. Alone, silent, cautious. He was about one year old. No one nearby. No signs of people. Just cold and silence. He did not struggle. Did not bark. Just waited. Saint is still a bit like that — cautious. He needs a calm environment. Without chaos, shouting and sudden movements. He is not aggressive — on the contrary, very kind and delicate. Just shy. Age — about 2 years. Very gentle in character. Cautious towards strangers, but not mean. Towards other dogs — calm, does not conflict. Vaccinated, neutered, healthy. He does not need loud companies. He needs someone who will say: "You can be as you are. I see you. I accept you." Saint will never be a show dog. But he will become a faithful friend for whoever does not rush. Who is ready to give him time. If Saint touched you — write. He is waiting. And we are waiting with him.

About Svyatik (Святік)

What life with Svyatik (Святік) looks like

Svyatik (Святік) is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Happy Paw Kyiv Oblast in Ukraine.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇺🇦Adopting from Ukraine

The shelter typically completes the animal's vaccinations, microchipping, and pet passport before adoption. Specific fees and process details vary by shelter and country — confirm directly via the contact details in the sidebar.

Frequently asked

Adopting Svyatik (Святік), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Svyatik (Святік)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Happy Paw Kyiv Oblast handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Svyatik (Святік) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Svyatik (Святік) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Happy Paw Kyiv Oblast will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Svyatik (Святік) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Svyatik (Святік) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Happy Paw Kyiv Oblast early rather than rehoming privately; they know Svyatik (Святік) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (UK). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
