Sweep Birthday: 6 June 2024 Sex: Male Breed: Mixed Size: Small - Medium Summary Sweep is a young pup who always puts a smile on your face. His happiness is irresistible. He may be small but his personality is big and he is full of the joy of being alive. With mesmerising eyes, a charcoal grey and cream coat he cuts a dash wherever he goes. History Sweep had an awful start to life: injured and helpless, he was found on the streets by a local council worker who took him straight to the vet. The little pup, who was no more than a couple of months old, was diagnosed with a broken jaw and a broken leg. After treatment, he was conveyed to the municipal kennels but nobody claimed him and the bewildered youngster didn’t settle. Concerned, the vet contacted the sanctuary to ask if they could help and Sweep was welcomed into the fold. The kennel-free environment suited him much better and he made great gains. Sweep needed two further operations to insert and then remove a pin in his leg but surrounded by the reassuring presence of the sanctuary dogs the plucky youngster came through. His determination, zest for life and evident joy at being with other dogs - particularly Dave - helped him make a full recovery. Personality A cheeky little chap, Sweep is a bundle of energy who delights in playing with the other dogs. Still very much a puppy, he fits in perfectly with the pack and loves being part of a gentle rough and tumble. He’s a vocal boy and really engages in communicating with people. A cuddle and a comfy sofa will never be refused! Neither will a treat - for which he does his best sitting. Because of his young age, there is ample opportunity for further training. Compatibility Sweep is compatible with other dogs, cats and children over the age of 10. Medical Fully vaccinated, neutered and microchipped. Sweep will be screened for all Mediterranean diseases before departing for his new life.
