Szamoca C

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy

Szamóca—a little cuddly sweetheart—is finally looking for her own family! Szamóca was born around June 2025 and is a charming mixed-breed dog standing approximately 35 cm tall. She’s still young, full of joy and eager to find a home where she won’t just be one among many—but rather the very special Szamóca she was meant to be.In April 2026, Szamóca was discovered in a front yard. The people living there were afraid of the young dog and asked our partner animal shelter for help. That’s how she ended up at the Ibrány animal shelter, where she’s now safe. But a shelter with around 230 dogs is no place for such a people-oriented puppy to stay permanently. It’s loud, hectic, and the loving hands that Szamóca longs for so desperately are far too scarce for her.Together with her new family, Szamóca has so much love to give. The little dog is open, friendly, and approaches people with curiosity. She loves cuddling and cherishes every bit of attention. When held in your arms, she might even fall asleep from sheer contentment. She’s a playful, cheerful, and adventurous young dog who can’t wait to discover many wonderful things together with her people.Szamóca gets along kindly and harmoniously with other dogs. Children are also welcome in her new home—as long as they know how to treat a dog respectfully. As a Terrier mix, Szamóca carries some typical traits of this breed. This may include a certain hunting instinct, which is why her new humans should enjoy working with her and gently guiding her.Szamóca deserves a home where she can finally feel truly at home—a place where she’ll be loved, allowed to cuddle, enjoy exciting walks, and stop being just one among many.Szamóca is waiting to become your Szamóca—a loyal little companion whose cheerful nature and big heart will enrich every single day.Currently, she’s staying at the animal shelter in Ibrány, Hungary. All dogs travel vaccinated, microchipped, accompanied by an EU pet passport, and pre-treated against parasites. Additionally, before leaving the country, they’ll undergo tests for heartworm and babesiosis. We’d be happy to answer any questions you may have.

About Szamoca C

What life with Szamoca C looks like

Szamoca C is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Hundepfoten Steinfurt e.V. in Nordwalde.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Szamoca C, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Szamoca C?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hundepfoten Steinfurt e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Szamoca C on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Szamoca C if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hundepfoten Steinfurt e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Szamoca C already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Szamoca C isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hundepfoten Steinfurt e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Szamoca C and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
