Tabby

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Tabby has found its home! Her story: The sweet puppy girl Tabby is almost two months old. She was found with her other five siblings during a spay/neuter campaign. The mother of the puppies was spayed at that time. Now, with her siblings, she waits patiently for her forever family to come forward. The mother is a friendly nature and is deeply concerned about her puppies. She weighs around 10 kilograms, so we assume that Tabby will reach a medium size. With her trusting eyes and playful nature, Tabby is ready to discover the world with you! She is a truly open-minded young puppy and is already looking forward to a family that shows her love, security, and the joys of life. Whether long walks in the park, cozy evenings on the couch, or learning basic commands together – would you be ready for that, Tabby? Since Tabby still needs to learn the puppy ABCs, a visit to the puppy school would be beneficial. Here, Tabby not only meets other dogs, but your bond will be strengthened, so that you can graduate as a dream team. If the little mouse forgets one or two commands during puberty, don't take it personally. The hormones of the little one go through her at this time, and the hard-learned skills are sometimes forgotten. The good news is that this time will also pass. Tabby travels microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated with an EU pet passport to her new home. She will be available after a positive foster home for the little one. We would be very happy to have you as a foster home for Tabby. Would you be ready to take Tabby on a step-by-step journey through life? Many thanks to Birgit! You named Tabby. As of: 16.06. This is a young, adolescent dog.

Vielen Dank an Birgit! Du hast Tabby ihren Namen geschenkt. About Tabby

What life with Tabby looks like

Tabby is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tabby, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tabby?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tabby on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tabby if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tabby already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tabby isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tabby and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
