Tabitha

Female Β· Kitten Β· 4 months

Tabitha is a wonderfully purry and playful little kitten who is growing in confidence and discovering the world around her. She loves to play, especially with her favourite string toy, and is always happy to enjoy a fuss and plenty of attention. With her affectionate nature and lovely loud purrs, Tabitha is sure to bring plenty of fun, curiosity and love to her future home. Tabitha will need outdoor access in her new home and should be provided with a cat flap so that she can come and go as she pleases if her new owners are away for a working day. If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more about Tabitha, you can email our Old Windsor rehoming team at to register your interest. We ask every customer to complete our online form before we can discuss an individual animal. If you have not yet filled in the form, you can find details on how to do so here: Please be aware that we receive a large amount of interest in rehoming , so we are only able to contact those whose circumstances are a suitable match for the cat they have enquired about.

About Tabitha

What life with Tabitha looks like

Tabitha is a medium-sized kitten cat waiting at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months β€” most shelters arrange this before adoption.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tabitha, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tabitha?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Battersea Dogs & Cats Home handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tabitha on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tabitha if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” Battersea Dogs & Cats Home will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Tabitha already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tabitha isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tabitha and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
