Tadi

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 4 years

XENA, TADI and KANDA are a family of immunodeficient and feral cats that have fallen into obscurity. For a couple of years, we have been trying to find homes for this feline family. We have given up because we are objective, and they have been with us for almost 4 years. The reality is what matters, adoptions of cats are minimal compared to dogs, and even more so when they are adult cats. Additionally, there are two scourges: the three are positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus and, moreover, the mother is completely feral. It is clear that they never had a chance to be adoptable. But not for that, they have not given up on having a chance with us. XENA and her children TADI and KANDA are extremely dependent on each other and are always looking for each other to be together. The bond they have with each other is incredible. Despite the size of the children (almost twice that of their mother), they still sleep together and behave like real kittens. The passing of time has not tarnished the attachment between them. There are many prejudices against the Feline Immunodeficiency Virus disease, and even more so, to the fashion that feral cats cannot have another life than the street and its fatal consequences. We remember that it is not a choice, but an obligation for them. XENA is an example, because of her abandonment or that of her parents, she learned to live on the street in a wild state. She does not let herself be touched, manipulated, and even less forced, because she does not need human contact. If she has to go to the vet, it is done as a rescue on the street... neither more nor less. She is adapted and respected by everyone. Although it seems impossible, these cats can live with dignity with the proper knowledge of their needs. XENA, TADI and KANDA live with dogs and cats. Neither the disease is a problem with the necessary care, nor the stigma of "feral" either. This united family shows that with commitment and patience, everything is possible, although it is not the easiest path. We spread the word because although we do not look for an adoption for them, they are animals of the Association and, like the rest, have the same needs. They can be sponsored to cover their veterinary and maintenance expenses. ………………………………………………………….. -RESCATED-! URGENT: Hiding in a Public Institution in Córdoba! Time passes and no one is interested in them. They are no longer of interest, they were rescued and were left in oblivion, as always happens. We saved a whole family, only two females were adopted, but... the mother and two kittens are no longer of interest. Four months have passed for these stuffed animals. They continue to grow with a future that is not promising. They are in foster care, but with many limitations, since in the house where they are, there are more dogs and cats and, for circumstances, it cannot be extended indefinitely. They are two beauties, KANDA the female and TADI the male are socialized with dogs and cats. They have a great character. We ask for them an adoption, a home where they can live with dignity and have the life they deserve. If you want to help them, write to us. …………………………………………………………! URGENT: Hiding in a Public Institution in Córdoba! We make a very URGENT call, this mother with her four kittens, only 6 days old, are inside a warehouse hidden. The warehouse is of a Public Institution, which is used to put boxes and other material. This mother has hidden inside and is breastfeeding her kittens among boxes. When cleaning, the workers found the kittens inside a used tire, but when it rained, they saw how the mother started to transport her kittens to a safer place and took refuge in the workshop of the Institution, but again the mother, saw that it was not a good place and transported them, this time, inside this warehouse. The warehouse is closed almost all day, the mother goes out to look for food on the street through a drain and while the kittens stay

About Tadi

What life with Tadi looks like

Tadi is an adult mixed breed cat waiting at El Amigo Fiel Córdoba in Spain.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee. Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tadi, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tadi?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. El Amigo Fiel Córdoba handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tadi on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tadi if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — El Amigo Fiel Córdoba will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Tadi already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tadi isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with El Amigo Fiel Córdoba early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tadi and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
