European Shorthair – EKH * ca. 2015 – black-white – male – neutered outdoor cat compatibility with others still unknown Otherwise: very shy / wild at our shelter since: 02/2026 Takeshi was an unneutered, feral stray with many battle wounds that could be caught with a live trap. Currently, he is still very fearful and often hides all day in his cave high up on the shelf in the cat room. He appears somewhat depressed and is not coping well with the situation at the animal shelter. When one talks to Takeshi for a long time, he gradually relaxes, and now one can also stroke his head and scratch behind his ears. He begins to enjoy this and even presses his head into one’s hand, but he is still very unsure. We believe that Takeshi will become a great tomcat with the right people who have cat experience and a lot of patience and empathy. For Takeshi, we are therefore looking for a very quiet home without children where people have a lot of time for him and can engage with him extensively to earn his trust. After a longer settling-in period, Takeshi must also be allowed back into the outdoors and given the opportunity to go in and out on his own (e.g., through a cat flap). Europäisch Kurzhaar – EKH * ca. 2015 – schwarz-weiß – männlich – kastriert Freigänger Verträglichkeit mit Artgenossen noch unbekannt Sonstiges: sehr scheu / wild im Tierheim seit: 02/2026 Takeshi war ein unkastrierter, verwahrloster Streuner mit vielen Blessuren von Kämpfen, der mit einer Lebendfalle eingefangen werden konnte. Momentan ist er noch sehr ängstlich und versteckt sich oft den ganzen Tag in seiner Höhle hoch oben auf dem Regal im Katzenzimmer. Er wirkt teilweise fast ein bisschen depressiv und kommt mit der Situation im Tierheim nicht gut klar. Wenn man lang mit Takeshi redet, dann entspannt er sich immer mehr und inzwischen darf man dann auch seinen Kopf streicheln und ihn hinter den Ohren kraulen. Er beginnt auch damit, dies zu genießen und einem den Kopf in die Hand zu drücken, doch er ist dabei noch sehr unsicher. Wir denken, dass Takeshi bei den richtigen Leuten mit Katzenerfahrung und mit viel Geduld und Einfühlungsvermögen mal ein ganz toller Kater wird. Für Takeshi suchen wir deshalb nun ein sehr ruhiges Zuhause ohne Kinder bei Menschen, die viel Zeit für ihn haben und sich viel mit ihm beschäftigen können, um sein Vertrauen zu gewinnen. Nach einer längeren Eingewöhnungszeit muss Takeshi dann auch wieder Freilauf und die Möglichkeit zum selbständigen rein- und rausgehen bekommen (z.B. über eine Katzenklappe).
