Adopt Tália

Female · Senior · 11 years

The Fousky shelter received another little cat who needed immediate veterinary care. Cat Talia was found in the village of Tatiná, where a kind lady noticed her. Talia had settled at the local bus stop and it was clear she needed help, so the lady didn't hesitate to contact us. We immediately went to see Talia. She had a painful injury under her eye and a nasty infection, which probably resulted from being bitten. The same injury is also on her neck. The eye infection was already quite extensive. She is also very thin – just 2.9 kg is really too little for an adult cat. Talia is older, extremely grateful, and friendly. She finally got the help she needed so much. Tália likes to cuddle and enjoys her peace. She is not suitable for a noisy and busy household. She can go home as an only cat, or with a quiet cat. She is not suitable for a home with access to the outside.

Není vhodná do hlasité a rušné domácnosti. Domů může jít jako jedináček, nebo ke klidné kočičce. Není vhodná do domova s přístupem ven.

About Tália

What life with Tália looks like

Tália is a senior cat waiting at Fousky z.s. in Czech Republic.

Senior cats are the gentlest house guests: predictable, mostly silent, and grateful for a sunny windowsill. Older cats often have minor dental or kidney issues — keep an eye on water intake and weight. Many sleep eighteen hours a day and want no part of any drama.

🇨🇿Adopting from Czech Republic

Czech shelters (útulky) include sterilization, vaccinations, and microchip ID. The adopter signs a written contract (smlouva) — the shelter may follow up to verify wellbeing.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tália, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tália?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Fousky z.s. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tália on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tália if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Fousky z.s. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tália already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tália isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Fousky z.s. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tália and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (CS). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
