TANGO

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Adult · 7 years

Tango was presumably born in June 2019, he is a medium size mixed breed (weighs about 22/25 kg), short-haired, with excellent compatibility with dogs - both females and males - and cats. He is used to the home environment, he can behave perfectly at home and remain completely calm even if left alone for a moment. Tango appears to be a dog that is closed and shy at first contact, but shows no signs of aggression when approached, rather he allows himself to be handled calmly. He definitely requires a lot of patience and willingness to establish a bond. It needs to maintain the experiences learned so far and to be fully involved in family life. Therefore, he is adoptable in quiet contexts and with patient people who continue to give him experience. He is currently in a home stall in Milan, after being saved from a concentration camp shelter. You can come to meet him in person. Tango is given neutered, tested for leishmania/erlichia, with double vaccine, dewormed, after completing the pre-adoption questionnaire and pre-adoption visit. ⛔️⛔️⛔️Maximum seriousness is required. No time wasters, no minors; call only if really interested. Always conscious adoption!⛔️⛔️⛔️ ▶️▶️▶️Those interested can request information via whatsapp by anticipating an exhaustive presentation (name, surname, location, type of housing, family composition, other animals at home, previous experiences, etc.).◀️◀️◀️ For information: ADOTTAMI COL CUORE-ODV 📧 ☎️3496325688

About TANGO

What life with TANGO looks like

TANGO is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Adottami col Cuore in Andria (BAT).

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇮🇹Adopting from Italy

Italian canili require adopters to sign a stewardship contract (affido) and may retain the right to verify the animal's wellbeing post-adoption. Animals are chipped and sterilized before leaving (Legge 281/91). Public canili rifugio typically waive adoption fees.

Frequently asked

Adopting TANGO, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about TANGO?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Adottami col Cuore handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw TANGO on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt TANGO if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Adottami col Cuore will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is TANGO already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if TANGO isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Adottami col Cuore early rather than rehoming privately; they know TANGO and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (IT). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
