Ted

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 5 years

Ted is related to Robin Must be homed with Robin Meet Ted & Robin Ted and Robin are a lovely pair of rabbits looking for their forever home together. They came into care after their previous owner sadly became too unwell to look after them, and they hadn’t experienced the best start in life. Since arriving in their foster home, both rabbits have absolutely flourished. With the right care, space, and attention, they’ve grown into gentle, happy, and easy-going companions. Ted and Robin have sweet, calm natures and enjoy being stroked—especially at mealtimes! They are comfortable with handling and have shown themselves to be very tolerant and relaxed. They really thrive when given plenty of space to run, hop, and explore, and would love a home where they can continue to enjoy that freedom. If you’re looking for a kind-hearted pair to welcome into your home, Ted and Robin could be the perfect match

About Ted

What life with Ted looks like

Ted is a adult mixed breed rabbit waiting at Hounslow Animal Welfare Society in United Kingdom.

Rabbits are social animals — most shelters recommend adopting them in bonded pairs rather than alone. They need fresh hay daily, several hours of out-of-cage time, and rabbit-safe spaces to explore. They live eight to twelve years, longer than many people expect.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ted, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ted?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hounslow Animal Welfare Society handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ted on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ted if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hounslow Animal Welfare Society will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ted already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most rabbits on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ted isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hounslow Animal Welfare Society early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ted and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (the shelter's own language). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
