Teddy

Cockapoo Β· Male Β· Young Β· 2 years

Teddy is a very sociable and friendly boy who loves meeting new people and saying hello to everyone! He thoroughly enjoys human company, plenty of attention and going out for his walks. Teddy has a playful nature and loves his toys, especially his favourite tennis ball. He also enjoys interacting with other dogs. Teddy is looking for an experienced owner who can continue his training and provide the guidance and consistency he needs. He can pull slightly on the lead and experiences separation anxiety, so will need gradual support to help him feel comfortable being left alone once he has formed a bond. He can also be a little possessive around high-value treats, which will need careful and understanding management. Teddy enjoys being groomed and is very well-behaved during grooming sessions, which will need to be carried out regularly to keep his coat in good condition. He is an affectionate, fun-loving boy who responds well to training once he has built a trusting bond. With patience, understanding and continued training, Teddy has every opportunity to flourish in his new home.

About Teddy

What life with Teddy looks like

Teddy is a young adult cockapoo dog waiting at RSPCA Radcliffe Animal Centre in United Kingdom.

A young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" β€” quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures β€” to let them settle.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Teddy, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Teddy?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. RSPCA Radcliffe Animal Centre handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Teddy on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Teddy if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” RSPCA Radcliffe Animal Centre will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Teddy already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Teddy isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with RSPCA Radcliffe Animal Centre early rather than rehoming privately; they know Teddy and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
