Teddy the Stöpsel (in DE)

Mixed Breed · Male

Name: Teddy the Stöpsel Breed: mixed-breed male dog Age: ca. 03/2020 born Hi there! I'm Teddy the Stöpsel, also known as Stöpsel, because my size really is that simple. In real life, I definitely feel much, much bigger. I'm a mixed breed in middle adulthood, and while I can't seriously say what breeds might be in me, there's definitely something with a powerful hair growth and character strength. I carry black, brown, and white fur, currently in the trimmed version with a comfort factor. My trustworthy brown eyes are famous for worming their way into people's hearts, as I was solemnly informed. I have a (half)strong character, and can behave like a sunny boy and gentleman when I get a sense of security and clear instructions! Then I'm really a very nice guy who brings joy and plays the class clown. Otherwise, it can literally go down the pants, because in the past, without a leash, I've already made one or two people's pants go down… or the wild sow on the leash, which I really am not! That's why I'm looking for a family with dog experience who might not shy away from taking me to dog training classes if some behavior corrections are needed. I can already drive a car pretty well, I'm of course house-trained, and I get along super well with other dogs… I'm currently proving myself in a stable five-dog pack where I behave unobtrusively and subordinate myself. I love long walks, but I don't demand them, and I'm generally a well-balanced guy. I show a lot of attachment and clinginess to people once I've gained their trust. I was taken in by an animal shelter in Hungary in 2021 because I had to survive under very poor living conditions with my first family. Quickly, I found a family in Germany where I spent another four years. There, I was the little prince, which has caused some behavioral changes. My second mom is now very ill and has therefore given me back. What I wish for: a loving family with dog experience, a loving family who loves long walks, clear guidance in everyday life so I don't get any wild ideas, a cuddly family for adoration, tasks, and responsibilities to keep my mind occupied this time, but really a family that doesn't flake out on me! Your Teddy the Stöpsel I am of course already neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. If you want to adopt me, please contact my handlers. This animal was surrendered to the shelter. This animal has a history of biting.

Name: Teddy the Stöpsel Rasse: Mischlingsrüde Alter: ca. 03/2020 geboren Moinmoin! Euer Teddy the Stöpsel Ich bin natürlich bereits kastriert, gechipt, geimpft, entwurmt und entfloht. Wer mich adoptieren möchte, wende sich bitte an meine Vermittler . Rüden Weitere Informationen

About Teddy the Stöpsel (in DE)

What life with Teddy the Stöpsel (in DE) looks like

Teddy the Stöpsel (in DE) is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Traurige Hundeherzen e.V. in Hamburg.

Frequently asked

Adopting Teddy the Stöpsel (in DE), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Teddy the Stöpsel (in DE)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Traurige Hundeherzen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Teddy the Stöpsel (in DE) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Teddy the Stöpsel (in DE) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Traurige Hundeherzen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Teddy the Stöpsel (in DE) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Teddy the Stöpsel (in DE) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Traurige Hundeherzen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Teddy the Stöpsel (in DE) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
