Adopt TEODOR

Male · Adult · 5 years

TEODOR - wonderful dog is looking for an experienced home! Teodor is one of the dogs rescued from Ukraine. He is a medium-sized dog around 8 years old. Teodor must have had a difficult past. He is a dog who does not immediately trust. We do not know what happened, but he is more afraid and does not trust men. Therefore, for his adoption, previous meetings for a walk with a caregiver will be needed, as he must get to know the person adopting him well. Once he trusts, he is very expressive in emotions. He loves to cuddle and hardly leaves the person. He listens very well and is a very smart dog. He is looking for a wise and experienced caregiver. Teodor has no problems interacting with other dogs, females. Therefore, he can easily live with a gentle female dog. He needs work, because passing dogs on walks are problematic for him. However, with patience and hard work, everything is certainly achievable. Teodor does not feel well in the city. Therefore, the best home would be a house somewhere out of the way, away from city noise. We are looking for a responsible, wise, and experienced home for Teodor, which will teach him how to function properly in the world. He is a wonderful dog and once he loves, he will be a loyal and wonderful friend. We are also looking for a home without very young children. Teodor is under the care of OTOZ Animals animal shelter in Tczew. Shelter registration number: 59/22 Male dog is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and neutered. Call the animal shelter and ask about adoption: e-mail:

TEODOR - cudowny pies szuka doświadczonego domu! Teodor to jeden z psów uratowanych z Ukrainy. Szuka mądrego i doświadczonego opiekuna. Zadzwoń do schroniska i zapytaj o adopcję: e-mail:

About TEODOR

What life with TEODOR looks like

TEODOR is a medium-sized adult dog waiting at OTOZ Animals — Schronisko w Tczewie in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting TEODOR, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about TEODOR?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. OTOZ Animals — Schronisko w Tczewie handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw TEODOR on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt TEODOR if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — OTOZ Animals — Schronisko w Tczewie will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is TEODOR already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if TEODOR isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with OTOZ Animals — Schronisko w Tczewie early rather than rehoming privately; they know TEODOR and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
