The dear Tequila came to us as a result of official seizure under the Hamburg Dog Law, as he is not allowed to be kept in Hamburg due to his breed. His former owners no longer had the time to care for the big one, Tequila. Tequila is an alert and friendly fellow who regularly seeks cuddle time with his loved ones and happily lounges on the sofa – typical couch potato. Due to his open nature, we envision him well as a family dog, but due to his size, children should be at least 14 years old. Besides "lounging on the sofa," Tequila enjoys forest walks, car rides, beach vacations (he is a real water rat!), and rolling in the grass. He also greets female dogs of similar stature kindly, but Tequila’s opinion on male dogs is variable: some he dislikes from the start, while others show little interest, and still others he greets politely. Despite his social nature, we can only place Tequila as a single dog, as human proximity is of utmost importance to him, and he does not like sharing his affection with other four-legged friends. Tequila’s only flaw: he loves to eat. His future people should be prepared to keep an eye on everything. Otherwise, he is a true gem that has much affection to give and wishes for a loving home with consistent people. Until Tequila finds his forever home, we look forward to compassionate people who will take on a sponsorship for him. Best placed with a resident dog (second-dog home).

Auch hatten seine ehemaligen Halter nicht mehr die nötige Zeit, sich um den Großen zu kümmern Tequila ist ein aufgeweckter und menschenfreundlicher Kerl, der den Kuschelkontakt mit seinen Liebsten regelmäßig sucht und mit ihnen liebend gerne auf dem Sofa fläzt – typisch Couchpotato. Aufgrund seiner aufgeschlossenen Art können wir ihn uns gut als Familienhund vorstellen, wegen seiner Größe sollten Kinder jedoch mindestens 14 Jahre alt sein. Neben dem "Auf-dem-Sofa-liegen" findet Tequila Waldspaziergänge, Autofahrten, Urlaub am Meer (er ist eine richtige Wasserratte!) und sich im Gras zu wälzen super. Auch Hündinnen ähnlicher Statur begegnet er freundlich, zu Rüden ist Tequilas Meinung variabel: Manche schätzt er von Anfang an nicht, bei anderen zeigt er kaum Interesse, wiederum andere begrüßt er höflich. Trotz seiner sozialen Ader vermitteln wir Tequila ausschließlich als Einzelhund, da menschliche Nähe für ihn von höchster Bedeutung ist und es ihm nicht gefällt, die Zuneigung seiner Menschen mit anderen Vierbeinern zu teilen. Tequilas einziges Laster: Er liebt es zu essen. Seine zukünftigen Menschen sollten sich darauf einstellen, nichts unbeaufsichtigt liegen zu lassen. Ansonsten ist er ein wahres Goldstück, das viel Zuneigung zu schenken hat, und sich ein liebevolles Zuhause bei konsequenten Menschen wünscht.
