Adopt Tequila Taco Tapas

Mixed Breed · Female · Kitten

Female stray/foster. Born around 2022 & 2025. Neutered [x] yes / [] no. In the animal shelter since ________________________ We test each cat with a rapid test for FIV ("feline AIDS," info here!) and FeLV ("feline leukemia," info here!) and clarify their status. We also inform about the risk of FIP infection ("peritonitis"). ________________________ Mother cat Tequila and her two sons Taco and Tapas were observed wandering in Münchhausen for a long time and were then secured by dedicated animal rescuers. They have lived as strays until now and are still cautious around humans, especially Taco, who is quite skittish. However, when someone remains calm and relaxed near them, they react with interest and quickly respond to play offers and treats. They are familiar with being cared for by humans and will likely become much more trusting in a new home. Particularly Tapas is very curious. We would be delighted if the little family could stay together – they provide each other with much support and orientation and often lie close to one another, groom each other, and cuddle a lot. As well-cared-for barn cats that can be safely acclimated and have access to warm, protected retreat areas, we think they would do well. Of course, we would also be happy if they had access to the house and received lots of attention from their humans. We hope very much that this lovely trio will soon find a loving and caring place! ________________________ (As of 08.05.2026) Tequila: Taco: Tapas: (Click images to view full size!) About Tequila Taco Tapas

What life with Tequila Taco Tapas looks like

Tequila Taco Tapas is a puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Tierheim Marburg in Marburg.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tequila Taco Tapas, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tequila Taco Tapas?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierheim Marburg handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tequila Taco Tapas on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tequila Taco Tapas if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierheim Marburg will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tequila Taco Tapas already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tequila Taco Tapas isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierheim Marburg early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tequila Taco Tapas and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
