Terrence, a male Terrier mix, born approximately 2022, neutered, about 40cm shoulder height, has been in the shelter since February 2024. Terrence was rescued with his larger and bolder friend Bud and has been living in Maria's Shelter ever since. While Bud loves human attention and is generally very curious, Terrence is very anxious and reserved. He needs time and positive experiences to build trust with humans. He may always be a bit shy, unfortunately, we cannot predict this. We are looking for a home for him with empathetic and experienced people who can show him what a good dog life is like in a calm and relaxed manner without pressure or expectations. It should be okay if he never wants to go for walks or cuddle like a normal dog. He may surprise us in a positive way. A securely fenced garden with direct access to the house is a basic requirement. Currently located in Romania and allowed to travel if a home is found. Travels chipped and vaccinated (EU vaccination passport; vaccinations: rabies and basic immunization). All dogs are treated for intestinal and ectoparasites at their arrival in the shelter and at least once a year thereafter. The described behavioral observations are based on everyday life in the shelter and may be different in a domestic environment under changed living conditions. 02/2024 Vollpatenschaft: Heike J. Terrence, geboren ca. 2022, kastriert, ca. 40cm Schulterhöhe, im Shelter seit 02/2024 Terrence wurde gemeinsam mit seinem größeren und mutigeren Freund Bud gerettet und lebt seitdem in Marias Shelter. Während Bud menschliche Aufmerksamkeit super findet und generell viel Neugier zeigt, ist Terrence sehr ängstlich und zurückhaltend. Er braucht noch Zeit sowie positive Erlebnisse um Vertrauen zum Menschen aufzubauen. Vielleicht wird er immer eher scheu bleiben, das können wir leider nicht vorhersagen. Wir wünschen uns für ihn ein Zuhause bei einfühlsamen und erfahrenen Menschen, die ihm in Ruhe und ohne Zeitdruck oder Erwartungshaltung zeigen, was ein gutes Hundeleben ist. Es sollte okay sein, wenn er nie wie ein normaler Hund Gassi gehen oder kuscheln will. Vielleicht ist er dann für die eine oder andere positive Überraschung gut. Ein sicher eingezäunter Garten mit direktem Zugang zum Haus ist Grundvoraussetzung. Befindet sich aktuell in Rumänien und darf ausreisen, wenn er ein Zuhause gefunden hat. Reist gechipt und geimpft (EU Impfpass; Impfungen: Tollwut und Grundimmunisierung). Alle Hunde werden bei ihrer Ankunft im Shelter sowie anschließend mindestens einmal jährlich gegen Darmparasiten und Ektoparasiten behandelt. Die geschilderten Verhaltensbeobachtungen basieren auf dem Alltag im Shelter und können sich in einem häuslichen Umfeld unter veränderten Lebensbedingungen entsprechend anders darstellen.
