Teun 23-07-2024 Update on Teun: A Life of Freedom and Friends We have great news about Teun! He is doing incredibly well. Teun now lives with his sister and our lovely dog Fredo in the VIP studio, and they are having a great time there. Teun is fully enjoying his freedom. He often takes a walk by the sea, at Jorisbaai, where he can wander around and enjoy the fresh sea air. After such an adventure, he returns to his safe spot in the studio. His sister is especially fond of the grounds and loves walking among the horses, donkeys, and pigs. She likes to explore every corner and enjoys every minute outside. Teun is a bit more cautious, but he finds his way at his own pace. During the day, when it's very warm, Teun and his sister find their spot on the roof, where they can hide in the shade. When it's quieter and the dogs are sleeping, they come out again to enjoy the comfort. Fredo, the rescue dog, is a great friend to Teun and his sister. He always provides a loving and safe environment, which allows the cats to relax more in the studio. This creates a lovely peaceful atmosphere that we all appreciate. November 2020 Teun is an inquisitive tomcat, but still a bit reserved. With love and patience, he will slowly gain his trust. His brother Nozem and sister Nina live in the Netherlands and are very sociable. Teun is neutered and vaccinated and has beautiful green eyes. His mother, a smart cat, raised her kittens in the bushes near Pippi's. We found them only when they were already about 12 weeks old. Unfortunately, we couldn't socialize them earlier in our covered cattery. Teun came to the shelter with his mother, brother, and sisters. The kittens were very small, shy, and scared, and their mother was completely unaccustomed to people. We had the entire family tested for AIDS and leukemia by the veterinarian, and luckily the results were negative! They are all vaccinated and neutered so they can't reproduce anymore. The mother cat was very unhappy in the shelter, so we decided to release her back into nature after three months. She comes regularly for food and drink. At night, when everyone is asleep, she comes onto the premises. There is always a bowl of food ready for her in the cattery. Teun 23-07-2024 Update over Teun: Een Leven van Vrijheid en Vrienden We hebben geweldig nieuws over Teun! Het gaat ontzettend goed met hem. Teun leeft nu samen met zijn Zusje en onze lieve hond Fredo in de VIP-studio, en ze hebben het daar enorm naar hun zin. Teun geniet volop van zijn vrijheid. Regelmatig maakt hij een rondje bij de zee, bij de Jorisbaai, waar hij heerlijk kan rondstruinen en de frisse zeelucht kan opsnuiven. Na zo'n avontuur komt hij weer terug naar zijn veilige plek in de studio. Zijn zusje is vooral dol op het terrein en vindt het fantastisch om tussen de paarden, ezels en zwijnen te lopen. Ze verkent graag alle hoeken en geniet van elke minuut buiten. Teun is iets voorzichtiger, maar hij vindt zijn weg in zijn eigen tempo. Overdag, als het heel warm is, vinden Teun en zijn zusje hun plekje op het dak, waar ze zich kunnen verschuilen in de schaduw. Wanneer het rustiger is en de honden even slapen, komen ze weer tevoorschijn om te genieten van de gezelligheid. Fredo, de rescuehond, is een geweldige vriend voor Teun en zijn zusje. Hij zorgt altijd voor een liefdevolle en veilige omgeving, waardoor de katten steeds meer durven te ontspannen in de studio. Dit zorgt voor een heerlijk rustige sfeer die we allemaal waarderen. Zijn broer Nozem en zus Nina wonen in Nederland en zijn zeer sociaal. Teun is gecastreerd en gevaccineerd en heeft prachtige groene ogen. Zijn moeder, een slimme poes, heeft haar kittens in de struiken bij Pippi s grootgebracht. We ontdekten hen pas toen ze al ongeveer 12 weken oud waren. Jammer genoeg konden we ze niet eerder socialiseren in onze overdekte kattentuin. Teun kwam samen met zijn moeder, broer en zussen naar de opvang. De kittens waren nog heel klein, schuw en angstig, en hun moeder was totaal niet gewend aan mensen. We hebben de hele familie laten testen op aids en leukemie bij de dierenarts, en gelukkig waren de resultaten negatief! Ze zijn allemaal gevaccineerd en gecastreerd, zodat ze zich niet verder kunnen voortplanten. Moederpoes was erg ongelukkig in de opvang, dus hebben we besloten haar na drie maanden weer vrij te laten in de natuur. Ze komt regelmatig op bezoek voor eten en drinken. 's Nachts, wanneer iedereen rustig slaapt, komt ze het terrein op. Er staat altijd een bakje eten voor haar klaar in de kattentuin.
