The Wombles

Mixed Breed Cat Β· Male Β· Kitten

πŸ’› Meet the Wombles – Orinoco, Uncle Bulgaria & Tomsk! πŸ’› These three adorable boys have already overcome so much, and now they’re ready to find loving homes where they can continue to blossom. 🐾 Orinoco, Uncle Bulgaria and Tomsk came into the care of RSPCA Bluebell Ridge from a multi-cat household where, sadly, all the cats were suffering from untreated cat flu. When the boys first arrived, they were very underweight, with dull, discoloured coats, and had a lot of recovering to do. Thankfully, these sweet boys bounced back beautifully! ❀️ They’ve recovered well, regained weight and condition, and are growing in confidence every single day. Although they’re making wonderful progress, the world can still feel a little scary at times. They need patient, loving families who will give them the time, reassurance and encouragement they need to discover just how wonderful life can be. 🐱 Three boys, three little personalities! πŸ’™ Tomsk is the most outgoing of the trio. He’s a confident little character who loves to demand fuss and is always happy to make his presence known! πŸ’› Orinoco and Uncle Bulgaria are a little more reserved. They prefer to let their brother take the lead and investigate things first before deciding whether it’s safe to join in! All three boys are super playful and wonderfully social with other cats. They love having feline friends around and would make lovely additions to the right home. 🏑 Could you offer one of our Wombles a forever home? The boys can be rehomed together, individually or in pairs, depending on the right match. They could also live with other vaccinated cats. Once they’re old enough, they’ll need a home where they can safely venture outside and explore the world around them. These lovely boys have made such a positive start to their new lives, and we would love to see them continue to thrive in homes of their own. Whether you have room in your heart for one Womble, a pair, or all three, could you be the person who helps them take their next steps? They’ve already shown us how resilient they are. Now they just need someone to show them how loved they can be. πŸ₯ΉπŸ’› πŸ“© Could you offer Orinoco, Uncle Bulgaria or Tomsk the loving forever home they deserve? About The Wombles

What life with The Wombles looks like

The Wombles is a kitten mixed breed cat cat waiting at RSPCA Brighton & The Heart of Sussex in United Kingdom.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months β€” most shelters arrange this before adoption.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting The Wombles, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about The Wombles?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. RSPCA Brighton & The Heart of Sussex handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw The Wombles on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt The Wombles if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” RSPCA Brighton & The Heart of Sussex will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is The Wombles already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if The Wombles isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with RSPCA Brighton & The Heart of Sussex early rather than rehoming privately; they know The Wombles and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
