Thila (w)

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

Thila is currently living in a private animal shelter with Dana in Botoșani, Romania. The young female dog was born in December 2025 and, along with her siblings, was fortunate to be taken in by Dana together with her mother Sabah. There, she was able to grow up in a safe environment and is developing into a wonderful young dog. Thila is 55 cm tall and weighs 30 kg. In May, Thila was visited by our German animal welfare colleagues on site - and what can we say? Everyone fell in love with her immediately. This young dog has a loving nature and a special charm that leaves a lasting impression. Thila is incredibly affectionate, friendly and people-oriented. She enjoys being close to people and loves to be stroked. What is not often found in such young dogs is a remarkable calmness and composure. While chaos erupts around her in the open run, dogs run, play and romp, Thila often remains relaxed. She simply lies down, observes the colorful bustle and looks at everything in all peace. Nothing needs to be commented on or participated in immediately. This inner balance particularly impressed our colleagues. Of course, Thila can also be different: if she feels like it, she joins the other dogs, dashes through the run with them and plays happily. She shows the right mix of joie de vivre and composure. However, it is already clear that she belongs to the more calm dogs in character. Thila currently has a shoulder height of approx. 55 cm. Since she is still young, of course, a few more centimeters can still be added. For us, Thila is an absolute dream dog. A young dog with a loving nature, a lot of charm, great people orientation and an enviable composure. Who is looking for a loyal companion who is both for joint adventures and for relaxed hours, should definitely take a closer look at Thila. Our conclusion after the visit on site: Thila is one of those female dog that you can hardly forget. She does not push herself to the forefront, does not always have to be in the spotlight and therefore inspires with her relaxed, loving nature. A real treasure on four paws. THILA is spayed, multiple vaccinated, dewormed, chipped and of course in possession of an EU passport when she leaves. Before leaving, a SNAP-D4 test will be carried out. Contact: Thila is being placed through the animal rescue organization Casa Katharina e.V. - with pre-control and protection contract. The association naturally has the §11 (animal protection law). We will also be there to support you further after the adoption - for humans and animals. Thila will arrive in 91278 Pottenstein as soon as she is adopted, where she will also be picked up. The transport will of course take place via Traces. There is a secure area available. We ask for your understanding that we do not want any stops at parking lots and we would like to introduce you personally to your new friend.

About Thila (w)

What life with Thila (w) looks like

Thila (w) is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. in Nürnberg.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Thila (w), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Thila (w)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Thila (w) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Thila (w) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Thila (w) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Thila (w) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tiernothilfe Casa Katharina e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Thila (w) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
