BackgroundThis young fellow is Thor. Thor is a beautiful mixed breed Boxer/Stafford male dog, born in March 2025. He came to us after an impound. We can now start looking for a motivated, active home for him. Thor lived together with his sister Winny. CharacterThor is a gentle, energetic, and loving fellow. He has an open character and quickly makes contact with new people. He is young and very energetic. Daily physical activities, playtime, brain treats, and walks are certainly needed to make him happy. He also needs to learn some necessary rest. Playing with a ball or rope is something he loves. He is already getting used to a crate but had a negative experience with it from his previous home. Still, he now goes in well with the door open. We do not force anything! Bench training must be continued step-by-step and calmly. He seems clean. It is certainly necessary to have a well-secured garden so that he can ventilate there daily. Walking on a leash is something he does well. He does not react well to other dogs. He lived together with his sister Winny and also likes to play with her. PlacementThor is looking for an active, motivated home that is willing to invest a lot of time and energy in him. At the beginning, he still needs extra guidance around being alone, etc. We think he will pick this up quickly in a stable home environment. He can be placed well as a single dog or where someone already has a larger, spayed female dog that enjoys rough play. Then a matching will take place in our animal shelter. With cats, he seems trainable. Thor is a wonderful dog but still needs experience. People who know how to work with a dog in a positive and reward-oriented manner. Children from age 10 can also come to meet him.

AchtergrondDeze jonge kerel is Thor. Thor is een prachtige kruising Boxer/Stafford reu, geboren in maart 2025. Hij kwam na een inbeslagname bij ons terecht. We mogen nu op zoek gaan naar een gemotiveerde, actieve thuis voor hem. Thor leefde samen met zijn zus Winny.KarakterThor is een zachtaardige, energieke en lieve kerel. Hij heeft een open karakter en legt vlot contact met nieuwe mensen. Hij is jong en erg energiek. Dagelijkse fysieke bezigheden, spelmomenten, hersenwerkjes en wandelingen zijn zeker nodig om hem gelukkig te maken. Ook de nodige verplichte rust moet hij aanleren. Spelen met de bal of touw vindt hij geweldig. Hij leert al wennen aan een bench maar heeft er ook een negatieve ervaring mee door z’n vorige thuis. Toch gaat hij er nu wel flink in met het deurtje open. We forceren niets! Benchtraining moet wel stapsgewijs en rustig aan verdergezet worden. Hij lijkt wel zindelijk. Het is zeker nodig om in het bezit te zijn van een goed omheinde tuin zodat hij hier dagelijks in kan ventileren. Wandelen aan de leiband doet hij goed. Naar andere honden reageert hij niet. Hij leefde samen met z’n zus Winny en speelt hier ook graag mee. PlaatsingThor zoekt een actieve, gemotiveerde thuis die veel tijd en energie in hem willen steken. In het begin heeft hij toch wel extra sturing nodig rond alleen blijven e.d. We denken wel dat hij dit in een stabiele thuisomgeving vlot zal oppikken.Hij kan prima geplaatst worden als hond alleen of waar men al een grotere, steriele teef heeft dat van stevig spel houdt. Dan volgt er een matching in ons asiel. Bij katten lijkt hij wel stuurbaar.Thor is een schat van een hond maar heeft toch wel ervaring nodig. Mensen die weten hoe ze met een hond aan de slag moeten gaan, op een positieve en beloningsgerichte manier. Kinderen vanaf 10 jaar kunnen ook komen kennismaken.
