Adopt Tiana

Mixed Breed · Female

Breed: Boxer-mixed-breed female dog Age: Born around 03/2021 Palim Palim… I’ll jump right in here because if you’re looking for a buddy who’s full of energy and has a cool personality to boot, who’s very clingy and almost addicted to cuddles, then… well, then you’re exactly right for me!! I’m a feisty young lady, in athletic form, with a low-maintenance short hair cut in light brown and white with a few black accents on my face, ears, and tail… Our caretakers give me a super good report here because I’m very trainable and already run well on the leash… Additionally, I’ve heard they say I’ve got a lot of pep in my step, which you could certainly use for sports or big hikes, but definitely for running and playing, I already do that with the other dogs here… By the way, I’m also very happy to be with them, whether they’re girls or boys, so it wouldn’t be tragic if a colleague already lived with you… My hazel eyes really light up when our caretakers have time for us, then I stick to them like glue and worship them, because their time is also very limited… I’m a stray, no one can say where I came from or what I’ve experienced… But honestly, that’s also pretty irrelevant because I want to start anew with you. It’s pretty obvious… I’m looking for you, if you’re athletic, have a sense of fun and adventure, but also like to cuddle on the couch sometimes, then we belong together!! Or what do you think?? Of course, we can also do dog training classes and such nonsense, it will definitely be fun because we’ll also make new doggy friends and really let off some steam… But definitely, I’m looking forward to you and hope you write to my handlers soon!! Before I travel to my new home, I will be neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. If you want to adopt me, please contact my handlers.

Oder was meint Ihr??

About Tiana

What life with Tiana looks like

Tiana is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Traurige Hundeherzen e.V. in Hamburg.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tiana, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tiana?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Traurige Hundeherzen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tiana on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tiana if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Traurige Hundeherzen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tiana already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tiana isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Traurige Hundeherzen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tiana and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
