Adopt Tibra (FIV+)

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

Looking for a foster family Situation: At the Cat School Enclosure: Jordan Birth: - 2016 Gender: Male Color: Brown tabby ✔ Neutered ✔ Identified ✔ Vaccinated Tested FIV ➕, FeLV ➖ Tibra arrived in November 2025 from Taverny, abandoned very young and after years of stray wandering. He is a very beautiful, healthy, well-built brown tabby cat. He has nice boots for playing. Tibra is very kind and affectionate. He does 8 and rubs against our legs to get attention. When he is in his basket ready to fall asleep, he purrs alone, happy to finally be safe after years on the street. He will be happy both in a house or an apartment, even a small one. He remains indifferent to other cats. Tibra suffers from arthritis, just avoid petting his back end. He prefers that we scratch his big head! He also has a protocol in place to fight his mouth problems, he has regular injections to do at our partner veterinarian in Pierrelaye. Come meet him! The future adopters of Tibra will actually be his "final foster family": this means that his veterinary fees are covered by the association. This announcement is addressed to people who are geographically close to us (Val d'Oise and surroundings) to allow better access to the association's partner veterinarians. Tibra is FIV positive. The virus in his body is dormant and can remain so for a long time. The virus does not transmit to humans, but only between cats through deep bites (from saliva to blood). When they are spayed and not aggressive, the risk is almost zero. > More information about FIV I would like to welcome Tibra!

About Tibra (FIV+)

What life with Tibra (FIV+) looks like

Tibra (FIV+) is a young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Chats du Parisis in Montigny-lès-Cormeilles.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tibra (FIV+), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tibra (FIV+)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Chats du Parisis handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tibra (FIV+) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tibra (FIV+) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Chats du Parisis will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tibra (FIV+) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tibra (FIV+) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Chats du Parisis early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tibra (FIV+) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
