Zwackerl *reserviert*

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 2 years

Breed: European Shorthair Color: Black and White Gender: male Neutered: yes Born approx: 08/2024 Suitable as a second cat Available at the animal shelter since: 29.12.2024 Gentle affection cat Zwackerl is looking for his happiness Our dear Zwackerl did not have an easy start to the new year: At the end of last year he appeared in Großkarolinenfeld and sought protection with people. On January 1, 2025, the poor boy had to go to the veterinary emergency service because he had a severe bite wound on his leg, which had to be treated immediately. Fortunately, the wound healed quickly, and today you can no longer tell anything about it - Zwackerl is fit again, lively and ready for his new life. Initially, Zwackerl is somewhat shy around strangers. He prefers to observe from a safe distance and wants to decide for himself when he takes the first step. But once he has gained trust, he turns into a real cuddler who enjoys every caress and lovingly rubs against your legs. Zwackerl gets along very well with other cats - he is social, friendly and kind towards fellow animals. Therefore, he would also be a great addition as a second cat. In his new home, Zwackerl definitely wants to be allowed to have free access so that he can soak up the sun, sniff and experience small adventures as he pleases. Zwackerl is a gentle tomcat with a big heart who only needs a little patience to show how much love is in him. Anyone who gives him this chance will get a loyal companion for life. If you would like to give Zwackerl a loving home with free access, please contact us. About Zwackerl *reserviert*

What life with Zwackerl *reserviert* looks like

Zwackerl *reserviert* is a large young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Tierschutzverein Rosenheim in Rosenheim.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Zwackerl *reserviert*, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Zwackerl *reserviert*?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein Rosenheim handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Zwackerl *reserviert* on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Zwackerl *reserviert* if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein Rosenheim will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Zwackerl *reserviert* already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Zwackerl *reserviert* isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein Rosenheim early rather than rehoming privately; they know Zwackerl *reserviert* and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
