Tiger

Male · Adult · 4 years

Tiger is a gentle senior cat over 10 years old, reported to Thiais in a concerning state, very emaciated, with difficulty eating and significant salivation. Taken in by the association, tests revealed that he is a carrier of FIV, as well as a chronic mouth inflammation (stomatitis), linked to this virus. Today, under follow-up and support, Tiger is gradually regaining strength, but his condition remains fragile and requires an adapted and reassuring environment. That is why we are seeking a long-term foster family who can accompany him gently and with kindness over time. Upon arrival at the shelter, Tiger was intimidated and marked by stress. It took some time for him to come out of his shell and fully appreciate the presence of the volunteers. Now, he is gradually opening up and showing a whole new face: he is an endearing little father figure, seeking human company and appreciating not being alone. He is not hesitant to meow to call and express his need for company and affection. Tiger remains a sensitive cat who will need a calm and reassuring environment to continue gaining confidence. Due to his fragility, our priority is to find a long-term foster family for Tiger who can offer a stable, safe, and respectful environment for his specific needs. Tiger seeks a calm home where he can evolve at his own pace without stress. In terms of health, Tiger is currently following an antiviral treatment to be administered morning and evening, to slow the progression of the virus. Regular veterinary follow-up will be necessary. As part of this long-term foster family arrangement, veterinary costs are covered by the association. Tiger is an endearing cat, in search of tenderness and presence after a difficult early life. An empathetic and soothing environment will allow him to continue evolving and thriving. If you wish to give him this chance, come meet him or contact us for more information.

About Tiger

What life with Tiger looks like

Tiger is a small adult cat waiting at 30 Millions d'Amis in Paris.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tiger, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tiger?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. 30 Millions d'Amis handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tiger on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tiger if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — 30 Millions d'Amis will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tiger already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tiger isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with 30 Millions d'Amis early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tiger and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
