Tiger

Female · Young · 2 years

Tiger was sadly given up by her family as they no longer had enough time for her, and she has since come into our care to find the loving forever home she deserves.Tiger is a very sweet girl with a lovely, affectionate nature. She enjoys being around people and loves attention and companionship. She has settled in well and has shown herself to be intelligent and eager to please, making her quick to learn and enjoyable to spend time with. She walks well on the lead and enjoys getting out for walks and exploring her surroundings. Whether it’s enjoying outdoor adventures or relaxing and spending time with her people, Tiger is happiest when she feels included and loved.Tiger gets on great with male dogs and has shown she can enjoy canine company, however she can be selective with female dogs. Because of this, she would need to be homed with another male dog or as the only dog in the household.Tiger has so much love to give and is now looking for a family who can offer her the time, commitment, and companionship she has been missing. In return, she will make a loyal and loving companion.Could you be the one to give Tiger the happy ending she deserves?

About Tiger

What life with Tiger looks like

Tiger is a large young adult dog waiting at Live PAWS Tenerife in Spain.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tiger, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tiger?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Live PAWS Tenerife handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tiger on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tiger if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Live PAWS Tenerife will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tiger already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tiger isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Live PAWS Tenerife early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tiger and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
