Adopt Tigger

British Shorthair · Female · Adult · 4 years

Tigger is a very scared 4-year-old female British Shorthair from a breeder who needs patient, experienced adopters. Currently overwhelmed and hiding, she's never lived in a home before and will need lots of time and TLC to adjust. She relies on other cats for comfort and would benefit from being adopted with a friend or into a home with other cats (with gradual introductions). Must be kept indoor-only as she's never been outdoors. Looking for a calm, quiet home where she can slowly build confidence and blossom with love and patience. Has travel documentation.

02-03-26 Tigger has come to us from a breeder, along with some other cats, to find her forever home. She is a very scared little girl at the moment who is completely overwhelmed to find herself here. At the moment she chooses to hide away and clearly isn't used to being touched or handled, so her adopters will need to take things at her pace. She will spend most of her day hiding in a bed, cuddled up with her friends and isn't brave enough to venture out until she's certain nobody is around. She has never lived in a home environment before, so she will need plenty of time, patience and TLC as she adjusts to home life. As she settles in, she will start to come out of her shell and her confidence will slowly grow. Tigger does seem to rely on other cats for comfort and would be very happy to be homed with Berry, one of her friends that she arrived with. In the right circumstances, she could also be homed where there were other cats or pets, but any introductions would need to be done very gradually. As she has never been outdoors, Tigger will need to be kept as an indoor-only cat to keep her safe. Access to a secure catio would be a lovely bonus, allowing her some fresh air and enrichment in a controlled environment, though this is not essential. Tigger is looking for a calm and quiet home with adopters who have experience with cats and who understand that she may take some time to settle in and before she is comfortable being fussed. With lots of love and TLC, she will blossom. Tigger has a travel document.
