Shanti & Sid (conjunta)

British Shorthair · Female · Adult · 4 years

Shanti, the white female (born in May 2021), is the mother of Sid, the black male (born in May 2022). They love each other immensely and are always together. They play with each other with a lot of energy (a bit rough), but they are also very affectionate and constantly seek their reference person's petting. They are very gluttonous and genuine enthusiasts of the recreational bones. With other dogs, they ignore them, but cats catch their attention, so this will need to be taken into account for their future home. Shanti and Sid are looking for a home where they can continue to be together, as separating them would break a very special bond. Would you dare to take on this beautiful pair? We also consider separate adoptions, especially if they come up at the same time. If you are interested, contact us and we will evaluate it.

ES·Show original

About Shanti & Sid (conjunta)

What life with Shanti & Sid (conjunta) looks like

Shanti & Sid (conjunta) is a medium-sized adult british shorthair dog waiting at A.D.A. Noguera in Spain.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Note from the shelter: Has asymmetric HCM (heart muscle disease) requiring daily medication and monitoring of breathing. Needs heart ultrasound check-ups every 6 months.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Shanti & Sid (conjunta), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Shanti & Sid (conjunta)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. A.D.A. Noguera handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Shanti & Sid (conjunta) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Shanti & Sid (conjunta) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — A.D.A. Noguera will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Shanti & Sid (conjunta) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Shanti & Sid (conjunta) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with A.D.A. Noguera early rather than rehoming privately; they know Shanti & Sid (conjunta) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
