Tilda

Mixed Breed · Female · Puppy · 3 months

adoption requirements adoption process Adopt now this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Tilda can travel directly to her own home! Her story: May we introduce her? This is Tilda, three months old and searching for her human. She is one of seven siblings—Bruni, Möhnchen, Lee, Conny, Fredo, and Cobi—who have all perfected the loyal doggish look. Like her mother Tiri, a German Shepherd-Mix female dog, the puppies are likely a mix of herding breeds. Although Tilda is initially a bit shy, in the photos she already sticks her nose in the air, as if she wants to catch the scent of her human. When fully grown, Tilda is expected to be of medium size. She gets along well with other dogs. Whether she also gets along with cats, we do not know. The family was brought to the shelter by the Dogcatchers when the puppies were only about a month old. A puppy like Tilda needs the first months of life to be filled with loving and consistent upbringing. The little ones are now most receptive to new impressions and learn to playfully distinguish what is right and what is wrong. Patience and praise are the key, especially when it comes to house training. Important foundations like leash training and the small dog ABCs must be slowly learned. Also, being left alone should be trained step by step to prevent separation anxiety. Around six months old, Tilda is likely to enter puberty. This time can be very challenging, as old rules seem to be forgotten and Tilda will test her limits. It is important to set clear rules and be consistent, as this phase lays the groundwork for future cohabitation. Dog training classes can be a great support during this time. A herding breed mix like Tilda not only needs physical but also mental stimulation to avoid getting into trouble. Whoever gives Tilda a home will receive a loyal companion with the potential to become the best lifelong friend. Tilda is looking forward to your request. Tilda travels microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated to her home, together with her EU pet passport. Thank you, Lea, for your name sponsorship, which has given Tilda the chance for a happy future. As of: 23.09.

Stand: 23.09.2025

About Tilda

What life with Tilda looks like

Tilda is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tilda, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tilda?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tilda on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tilda if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tilda already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tilda isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tilda and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
