Tilt

Belgian Malinois · Male · Adult · 4 years

Tilt is a 4-year-old Belgian Malinois who is now waiting to find his forever family. Tilt arrived at the shelter with his daughter Athena, following a removal due to poor living conditions. Like her, he now needs to learn to fully enjoy all that life has to offer and find a home that will meet his needs. Tilt is an intelligent dog, as one would expect from a Malinois, but above all, he is a very attentive companion who loves to learn! He loves sharing moments with his human and will give a lot to the person who will be able to create a bond of trust with him. My character: He is a real clingy, very affectionate dog who will never say no to a good belly rub session! But beware, Tilt also has a charming side: he loves his comfort and particularly appreciates good naps in his soft pouf. And as if that were not enough, sir is also very greedy! Enough to melt many hearts. Tilt is a dynamic dog who will need regular physical and mental expenses. His intelligence and desire to learn will be real assets for a family willing to invest in him. He loves walks and would be delighted to share beautiful adventures with his humans: cani-hiking, cani-mountain biking or any other activity adapted to his abilities and level of learning. He is also very comfortable in the water! I like / I don't like: In terms of games, he loves balls and noisy toys. So you will need to provide him with something to occupy him, stimulate him and allow him to fully develop. Tilt gets along with other dogs. If a dog already lives at home, a prior meeting at the shelter will be essential to check their compatibility. On the other hand, Tilt is not compatible with cats. Tilt is an endearing, intelligent and generous dog who has a lot of love to give. Behind his energy and liveliness is a companion who only wants to learn, share and create a beautiful relationship with his future family. He deserves today to put down his suitcases, enjoy long walks, beautiful adventures and, of course, well-deserved naps in a soft cushion.

About Tilt

What life with Tilt looks like

Tilt is an adult belgian malinois dog waiting at APAA Trégrom in France.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tilt, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tilt?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. APAA Trégrom handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tilt on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tilt if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — APAA Trégrom will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Tilt already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tilt isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with APAA Trégrom early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tilt and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
