Adoption Requirements | Adoption Process | Request Information About This Animal Now! Adoption Requirements | Adoption Process | Request Information About This Dog Now! Timba Gets to Stay! Her Story: At the end of February, Timba was allowed to travel to Germany. Unfortunately, a new home for this young dog must now be found as quickly as possible, since her people’s health situation has unexpectedly changed in such a way that their care can no longer be guaranteed. Timba is a cheerful, very affectionate dog with a truly special charm. She approaches people openly and friendly and happily greets everyone with a cheerful “Hello.” Closeness and attention mean a great deal to her. She’s especially happy when she can cuddle up with her people. But Timba isn’t just super sweet in character—she’s also incredibly beautiful. Her black-and-brown coat pattern is impossible to miss, and with her dark, expressive eyes, she exudes an irresistible mix of gentleness and adventurous spirit. She gets along wonderfully with the family’s first dog and displays a balanced, social behavior. She already walks very nicely on the leash and attentively follows her people’s lead. She’s already mastered the basic commands remarkably well and learns with great enthusiasm. At the same time, she brings with her a big dose of curiosity, playfulness, and zest for life. You can already tell that Timba is a loyal soul who will be extremely devoted—a dog whose gentle nature will surely make her quickly become a cherished part of the family. Timba originally comes from Romania. As a tiny puppy, she was rescued from the streets in Baia Mare and brought to safety. We’re looking for loving, dog-experienced people for Timba who are ready not only to welcome her into their lives but also into their hearts—and who want to share many wonderful moments with her. A home located in a rural setting would be ideal for her. After a positive preliminary check and upon payment of a protection fee, Timba can move into her new home at any time. She’s microchipped, vaccinated, and of course comes with her EU pet passport. Have you already fallen in love with Timba? She’s looking forward to meeting you. Many thanks to our sponsor Ker W., who chose Timba’s lovely name and thus gave her her own identity. As of July 6, 2026

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Timba darf bleiben! Stand: 06.07.2026

About Timba

What life with Timba looks like

Timba is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Timba, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Timba?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Timba on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Timba if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Timba already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Timba isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Timba and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
