Timur

Mixed Breed · Male

One could say a small, black puppy, like many others. One might say ordinary, were it not for those EARS! The enchantment of bat-like ears fluttering around the little snout touchingly melt the heart with every movement. Thin, long legs and that uncertainty in movement describe our Timur. So delicate, slightly frightened, he reveals his heart very quickly. A short walk, a few licks, and some petting is enough to encourage the little one to trust. Timur is delicate, as fragile as a forest animal. And such a delicate home he needs. A home that will give him peace and stability. Timur arrived at the animal shelter with his sister Breeze after the caregiver’s death. He is a well-mannered, sweet puppy who gets along very well with other dogs and cats. Thanks to his delicacy, he is an ideal companion for walks, even for children—those calm ones, of course. We are looking for a warm, loving home for Timur. Ideally, he could find one with his sister Breeze, though it is not a necessary condition for adoption.

Można rzec mały, czarny piesek, jakich wiele. Możnaby rzec zwyczajny, gdyby… nie te USZY! Urok nietoperkowatych uszu fruwających przy każdym ruchu wokół małego pyszczka rozczula. Chude, długie nóżki i ta niepewność ruchu opisują naszego Timurka. Taki delikatny, lekko przestraszony odkrywa swoje serduszko bardzo szybko. Wystarczy krótki spacer, kilka smaczków i głasków, żeby zachęcić malucha do zaufania. Timurek jest delikaty, jest kruchy jak leśne zwierze. I takiego delikatnego domu potrzebuje.

About Timur

What life with Timur looks like

Timur is a small adult mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku in Poland.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Timur, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Timur?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Timur on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Timur if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Timur already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Timur isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko dla Bezdomnych Zwierząt w Milanówku early rather than rehoming privately; they know Timur and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
