Tine is a senior Tervuren Shepherd who still enjoys life despite her past. She is a sweet, affectionate lady who enjoys going out with her people. She loves going for walks, she won't say no to that! ❤️ She walks well, doesn't pull. She sometimes snaps at the leash but is perfectly under control with correction. She used to bark at other dogs, but with socialization this is becoming less and less. The only thing she struggles with is traffic: she likes to bark at cars. When Tine arrived at the shelter, she was unfortunately quite overweight. In the meantime, she has already lost a whopping 16 kg - an enormous achievement! 💪 However, she still needs to lose about 5 kg, so her future owners will have to help her to bring her weight down calmly and responsibly. Fortunately, Tine loves walking, which is a nice bonus. As befits a real shepherd, Tine has a strong character. She likes to keep an eye on things and can be quite a control freak. 😉 Her future owners should therefore be confident and guide her in a calm, clear and consistent manner. Her beautiful coat also requires attention. Regular and good brushing and maintenance is needed to keep her coat healthy and free of tangles. Unfortunately, we don't know much about her life before the shelter. Tine was seized, so we can't tell how she did it in terms of cleanliness, staying home alone or dealing with a crate. A new owner will therefore have to be patient and willing to teach her step by step what is needed. Tine is looking for a quiet, experienced home where her character is understood, her boundaries are respected and she is guided in a loving and consistent manner. Someone who wants to work with her on her fitness and give her a happy old age. Because behind those typical shepherd traits is mainly a sweet and affectionate lady who likes to be with her people. ❤️

🐾 Tine zoekt een warme thuis Tine is een Tervuerense herder op leeftijd die ondanks haar verleden nog volop geniet van het leven. Ze is een lieve, aanhankelijke dame die graag samen met haar mensen op pad gaat. Een wandeling maken? Daar zegt Tine zeker geen nee tegen! ❤️ Ze wandelt goed mee, trekt niet. Ze durft wel eens in de lijn te happen maar mits correctie perfect onder controle te houden. In het begin viel ze uit naar andere honden, maar door haar te socialiseren wordt dit steeds minder. Het enige waar ze moeite mee heeft, is het verkeer : auto's daar kan ze wel op blaffen. Toen Tine in het asiel terechtkwam, was ze helaas behoorlijk te zwaar. Ondertussen is ze hier al maar liefst 16 kg afgevallen — een enorme prestatie! 💪 Toch moeten er nog ongeveer 5 kg af, dus haar toekomstige baasjes zullen haar moeten helpen om haar gewicht verder rustig en verantwoord naar beneden te brengen. Gelukkig vindt Tine wandelen leuk, wat daarbij mooi meegenomen is. Zoals het een echte herder betaamt, heeft Tine een sterk karakter. Ze houdt graag een oogje in het zeil en kan behoorlijk een controlefreakje zijn. 😉 Haar toekomstige baasjes mogen dus best stevig in hun schoenen staan en haar op een rustige, duidelijke en consequente manier begeleiden. Ook haar prachtige vacht vraagt de nodige aandacht. Regelmatig en goed borstelen en onderhouden hoort erbij om haar vacht gezond en klitvrij te houden. Over haar leven vóór het asiel weten we helaas weinig. Tine werd in beslag genomen, waardoor we niet kunnen vertellen hoe ze het vroeger deed op vlak van zindelijkheid, alleen thuis blijven of omgaan met een bench. Een nieuwe eigenaar zal hier dus geduld mee moeten hebben en bereid moeten zijn om haar stap voor stap te leren wat nodig is. Tine zoekt een rustige, ervaren thuis waar men haar karakter begrijpt, haar grenzen respecteert en haar tegelijkertijd op een liefdevolle en consequente manier begeleidt. Iemand die samen met haar verder wil werken aan haar conditie én haar een fijne oude dag wil bezorgen. Want achter die typische herderstreken zit vooral een lieve en aanhankelijke dame die graag bij haar mensen is. ❤️
