Tino

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

Around 1.5 years old (born around Dec 12th, 2024) 34 cm, 6.6 kg male, neutered Leishmaniosis test negative on May 15th, 2026 will be tested again before departure Still in the animal shelter in Spain Tino - a loving companion for active people Tino is a friendly, cuddly and people-oriented male who immediately wins hearts with his loving nature. He enjoys being close to his humans very much and is delighted by every caress he can get. The handsome four-footed dog was found in a dog exercise area in Murcia. Since he wore a harness and leash, it was initially assumed that he had simply escaped. However, although the statutory waiting period expired, no one reported to pick him up. His behavior suggests, however, that he used to have a home: Tino runs excellently on a leash and shows himself to be exceptionally friendly and affectionate towards people. He also gets along well with other dogs. In the animal shelter, he shares the exercise area without any problems with several congeners and shows balanced and social behavior. His new home We wish for Tino an active home with people who like to travel and can offer him regular, extended walks. Equally important to him, however, are affection, shared time and the feeling of finally belonging again. Tino has so much love to give away and deserves a family that gives him the attention and security he longs for so much. Who is looking for a faithful, uncomplicated and loving companion will find in Tino a wonderful friend for life. So report quickly!

Also schnell melden!

About Tino

What life with Tino looks like

Tino is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at home4dogs in Home4dogs.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇭Adopting from Switzerland

Swiss shelters require a home visit (Platzkontrolle) and proof of suitable accommodation. Cantons each have their own additional dog-keeping requirements (e.g. SKN training in some areas). Animals leave sterilized and chipped.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tino, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tino?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. home4dogs handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tino on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tino if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — home4dogs will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tino already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tino isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with home4dogs early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tino and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
