Tiny

English Setter · Female · Adult · 4 years

I am Tiny, the smallest English setter in the neighborhood... and probably the most convinced that I'm a diva. My size is reduced, yes, but my personality takes up about three full-sized sofas. I walk with my long ears swaying in the wind as if I'm starring in a dog shampoo commercial, and my tail functions as an emotional fan: the happier I am, the more likely something is to fly out. I spend my days doling out love, but also inspecting everything that moves: leaves, balls, suspicious shadows... anything can become my mission for the day. And when I want attention, I don't announce it: I simply appear, settle myself on top of you (though I don't weigh much, I take up a lot of space), and look at you with my "can't you say no to me?" eyes. They say I'm sweet, but I prefer to think of myself as irresistible. A mini setter with an explorer's soul, a soft heart, and a natural talent for making everyone say "oh, how cute." About Tiny

What life with Tiny looks like

Tiny is a adult english setter dog waiting at Animales Rioja in Spain.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tiny, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tiny?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animales Rioja handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tiny on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tiny if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animales Rioja will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tiny already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tiny isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animales Rioja early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tiny and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
