How do I contact the shelter about Tippy 🐾?

Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Heroes for Cyprus Cats / Zypernkatzen handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tippy 🐾 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.

Can I adopt Tippy 🐾 if I live in another country?

Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Heroes for Cyprus Cats / Zypernkatzen will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.

Is Tippy 🐾 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?

Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.

What happens if Tippy 🐾 isn't the right fit?

Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Heroes for Cyprus Cats / Zypernkatzen early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tippy 🐾 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.

Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?

TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.

Tippy 🐾

Tippy (female) 🎂 Birthday: approximately August 2025 📌 Location: Cyprus, on PS 🏡 Living situation: no unsecured outdoor access, no solitary housing Hi, I'm Tippy. I was found under a car at around 6 weeks old and rescued. I was supposed to cross the street, but the noises scared me. And that was probably a good thing. Now I'm in a traffic-free zone (my mom calls it a house), but we still have a lot of traffic. Mom can't leave a cat in the rain, so we're here with many of us. I follow the older ones, look for role models, and play a lot with the other cats. I think I've learned enough about cats now and want to study people who interest me, but I don't see them enough here. Do you want to teach me how to play with people? I can already cuddle. Then write to Heroes for Cyprus Cats! I'll start my journey to you chipped, vaccinated, tested for FiV/FelV, and with an EU pet passport. ----------------------------------------------------------- Who are the heroes behind Heroes for Cyprus Cats We from Heroes for Cyprus Cats are a dedicated team of animal lovers from Cyprus, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, who care for the well-being of street cats in Cyprus. Our goal is to improve the lives of these cats sustainably. Our local team in Cyprus feeds, neuters, and cares for sick or injured cats on the streets and in colonies. If necessary, we bring them to foster families where they wait for their families in a safe environment. We also maintain a strong online presence, handle inquiries from adopters, and provide support at the airport. Street cats in Cyprus suffer greatly and are often victims of car accidents or cruel mistreatment. Many simply starve or die from diseases that are not treated. We save them from this sad fate and work tirelessly to find a loving, safe home for our rescued cats. We place great value on a collegial, transparent, and respectful relationship within our team and with potential adopters. For us, adopting a cat is just the beginning. We commit to supporting our rescued cats and their new families for a lifetime. Together, we make a difference for every single cat.

Dann schreib’ schnell den Heroes for Cyprus Cats!

About Tippy 🐾

What life with Tippy 🐾 looks like

Tippy 🐾 is a large young adult cat waiting at Heroes for Cyprus Cats / Zypernkatzen in Kirchheim bei München.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.
