adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Tiril has found a home! Her story: Tiril, Simba, and Lou are beautiful and cuddly siblings who live in the overcrowded Public Shelter in Maia Mare and wait for loving adopters to take them home and save them from a bleak and lonely life. The little Tiril is only about 3.5 months old and has undoubtedly experienced a lot in her short life. She is particularly open, curious, and oriented towards people. She is a spirited little puppy who would rather explore the whole world. Therefore, she eagerly awaits a better future with animal-loving and engaged people. Tiril is a particularly cute female puppy. She has soft, black-brown spotted fur and shiny, black button eyes. It is expected that Tiril will grow into a medium-sized female dog. For now, Tiril is simply a cuddly and sweet puppy that wants to be loved and protected. She is outgoing and cuddly, loves all people and dogs, and will surely try to make everything right in her new home – although she of course still doesn't know what life in a family is like and still has a lot to learn. Her puberty won't be far off, and this is also a time for dogs when the foundations for the rest of their life are laid. We therefore recommend that Tiril's new people work with a positively working dog training class. Patient and loving training will strengthen Tiril's self-confidence and the bond to her trusted people. Through regular contact with fellow animals and many positive experiences with her people, Tiril will quickly learn the 1×1 for a wonderful family dog and develop into a happy and reliable companion. Do you have a warm dog bed and a place in your heart for the sweet Tiril? Then contact us! We would also be very happy to have a foster home for the pretty, young female dog. We thank Kerstin heartily for naming Tiril with her unusual and beautiful name. Date: 07.06. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Stand: 07.06.2024

About Tiril

What life with Tiril looks like

Tiril is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tiril, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tiril?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tiril on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tiril if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tiril already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tiril isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tiril and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
