Tobi is still a real mini version even for a Yorkshire Terrier, but in this super-lovable, five-year-old (as of 01/22) male dog, there's still a whole man. A volunteer from ArcoNatura found the little charm on a square in Linares and took him home first to have him checked for markings. Unfortunately, Tobi, like so many other dogs in Southern Europe, has neither a chip nor a tattoo. So he should have been taken directly to the animal shelter. But his rescuer found a family interested in giving such a cute heartbreaker a home. In Spain, there are no. Many people get a puppy and then return a hard-to-place, barely trained teenager to the animal shelter. Tobi also did not live up to his family. They probably thought that a five-year-old miniature dog would be a better couch cushion, but our lively gentleman wants to play, go for walks, be everywhere and get his cuddles. Tobi is not a dog for one hour a day; he wants to be an appreciated family member and as a terrier, he is obviously rather in the middle of things than just being there. So Tobi ended up in the animal shelter after all, right in the middle of winter... If you're only 26cm tall and a male dog, life in the animal shelter can be quite exhausting. Everyone else is bigger, stronger, and what is just a small nudge for a German Shepherd becomes really dangerous for a small dog like Beatle. That's why the small ones spend more time in the kennel, have less time to play, and now in January, even in Spain, the nights are cold and the concrete floor doesn't warm up during the day either. Tobi is a cheerful companion and surprisingly calm and friendly for a member of his breed. He likes everything and everyone, has respect but no fear, his explorer spirit is undimmed, and he has great talent as a solo performer. The nice Yorkshire is in the best manly age and is certainly a classic example of the category "perfect beginner dog". Having grown out of adolescence, but still young, very well socialized, and with a size that allows older children to take him for a walk alone. Tobi is joy in four legs and would love a truly active, humorous family... if that's not too much - shouldn't that really be no problem for such a golden button?

Tobi ist selbst für einen Yorkshire-Terrier noch eine echte Mini-Ausgabe, aber in dem superlieben, 5 Jahre alten (Stand 01/22) Rüden steckt trotzdem ein ganzer Kerl. Ein ehrenamtlicher Helfer der ArcoNatura hatte den kleinen Charmeur auf einem Platz in Linares gefunden und erst einmal mit nach Hause genommen, bis er ihn auf eine Markierung untersuchen lassen konnte. Leider trägt Tobi, wie so viele andere Hunde in Südeuropa, weder Chip noch Tätowierung. Also hätte er eigentlich direkt ins Tierheim ziehen müssen. Aber sein Retter fand eine Familie, die interessiert war, einem so niedlichen Herzensbrecher ein Zuhause zu schenken. In Spanien gibt es keine Vorkontrollen, keine Schutzverträge, keine Gebühren, und so denken die Leute, die einen Hund adoptieren, dass man ja mal probieren kann. Viele Leute holen sich einen Welpen und bringen ein schwer vermittelbares, noch kaum erzogenes Pubertier wieder zurück ins Tierheim. Auch Tobi wurde seiner Familie nicht gerecht. Man hatte wohl damit gerechnet, dass ein 5 Jahre alter Minihund ein besseres Sofakissen ist, aber unser aufgewecktes Männlein möchte spielen, spazieren gehen, er möchte überall dabei und seine Streicheleinheiten bekommen. Tobi ist kein Hund für eine Stunde am Tag, er will ein geschätztes Familienmitglied sein und als Terrier ist er selbstverständlich lieber mittendrin statt nur dabei. So landete Tobi also jetzt doch im Tierheim, mitten im Winter … Wenn man nur 26cm hoch und ein Rüde ist, dann kann das Leben im Tierheim ganz schön anstrengend sein. Alle anderen sind größer, stärker, und was für einen Schäferhund ein kleiner Stupser ist, wird für eine Handvoll Hund wie Beatle schon richtig gefährlich. Deswegen sitzen die Kleinen öfter im Zwinger, haben weniger Zeit zum Spielen und jetzt im Januar werden selbst in Spanien die Nächte kalt und der Betonboden wärmt auch tagsüber nicht wirklich. Tobi ist ein fröhlicher Zeitgenosse und für einen Vertreter seiner Rasse auch erstaunlich ruhig und umgänglich. Er mag alles und jeden, hat zwar Respekt, aber keine Angst, sein Forschergeist ist ungebrochen und er hat enormes Talent zum Alleinunterhalter. Der nette Yorkshire ist im allerbesten Mannesalter und ist damit zweifelsohne ein klassischer Vertreter der Kategorie „perfekter Anfängerhund“! Der Pubertät entwachsen, aber immer noch jung, super sozialisiert und mit einer Größe, die auch älteren Kinder durchaus erlaubt, mal allein mit ihm spazieren zu gehen. Tobi ist die Lebensfreude auf vier Beinen und hätte gerne eine richtig aktive, humorvolle Familie… wenn es mehr nicht ist – das sollte doch für so einen Goldknopf wirklich kein Problem werden?!
