Tobzoska

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 3 years

Tobzoska arrived at the Noé Animal Shelter with the help of the Füzesabonyi Animal Welfare Foundation, from a Mezőszemerei segregation center, from bad conditions. There were 3 dogs together, Tobzoska, a male dog born approximately in 2023, Padavan, a puppy in teething and Briza, who is likely their mother, and even she is only 2 years old. All three were in terrible physical and mental condition, they were scared. Tobzoska was in a brutal condition, we think he is mostly a Shar-pei. Almost completely hairless, his skin was inflamed and injured, when we touched him he bled. His ears were inflamed, his ear canals were narrowed. His body hurt, his soul feared... Of course, in our clinic, in warmth, we started to treat him. He gets medication, weekly medicated baths, Bravecto tablets for immune support, skin nourishing oils, vitamins, under constant veterinary supervision. We have worked hard to earn his trust and we can say that he has completely changed now. He has opened up, he is able to misbehave, to play. He has ideas which we try to guide in the right direction. He is still often mistrustful of strangers, but he gladly accepts a piece of jute and some petting. His relationship with other dogs is considered good, just sometimes he is too active. Can be socialized with female dogs. It is advisable to visit him several times to get to know him. He still has a lot to learn, such as walking on a leash, handling unknown situations. Therefore, his future family needs to give him enough time to adjust, since he lived in fear until now. Soon we can start his vaccination program and after his sterilization there will be no obstacles for him to be adopted as a family member.

A fülei gyulladtak, a hallójáratai beszűkültek. Fájt a teste, retteget a lelke...Természetesen a kórházrészlegünkben, melegben elkezdtük a gyógyítását. About Tobzoska

What life with Tobzoska looks like

Tobzoska is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Noé Állatotthon in Budapest.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Note from the shelter: Severe skin condition requiring ongoing medical treatment, needs gradual socialization due to traumatic past

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tobzoska, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tobzoska?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Noé Állatotthon handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tobzoska on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tobzoska if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Noé Állatotthon will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tobzoska already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tobzoska isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Noé Állatotthon early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tobzoska and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
