Adopt Toki

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Kitten · 2 months

Toki the king of mimickers! More slender and refined than his brothers and sisters, Toki is a beautiful 2-and-a-half-month-old tiger-striped kitten with a great sensitivity who was raised by his mother. Very talkative and expressive, super funny with his mimics, Toki will absolutely need a lot of attention and presence. He will bring joy to your days! Toki is visible in the 19th arrondissement of Paris under the association Adopte un Matou. He is in double adoption with one of his brothers and sisters OR in a home that already has a cat. He is offered for adoption: identified (microchip), primovaccinated (feline enteritis/cat flu) and dewormed (worms/fleas). His mother tested negative for FIV/FELV. Spaying/neutering is mandatory at 6 months (non-negotiable clause of the adoption contract). Adoption fee: 180 €. Placement followed. The exteriors (windows, balconies, etc.) of his future home must be securely enclosed: preventing a kitten/cat from escaping or falling (we reject all applications that do not meet this condition).

About Toki

What life with Toki looks like

Toki is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Adopte Un Matou in Maurecourt.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Toki, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Toki?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Adopte Un Matou handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Toki on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Toki if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Adopte Un Matou will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Toki already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Toki isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Adopte Un Matou early rather than rehoming privately; they know Toki and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
