Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, born 08.03.2021 Appearance: black and brown. Character: delicate, very attached to the caregiver. Health: spayed, conjunctivitis, food allergy, endocardiosis. Location: temporary home, Magnuszew. Contact for adoption: +48 501 797 018 Adoption survey -> HERE Tokyo is one of our seven new cavisians, born on March 8, 2021. At the start, she showed herself to be a calm and delicate dog. However, as we got to know her better, we observed that she tends to focus on one caregiver (although she starts to completely ignore other household members). Good news - Tokyo adapts well to home conditions. She maintains cleanliness during regular walks, can stay alone, does not destroy things, and is not a barking dog. She travels very well by car, and on walks, she stays close to her caregiver. Everything indicates that she will adapt well in both an apartment and a house with a garden. Currently, she lives in a temporary home with other dogs. In the first contact, she can be somewhat shy around dogs, but she communicates nicely with them and respects their space. She only met a cat once, and a human attracted her more attention than the kitten. She avoids children at first contact, but if you give her space, time, and calm, empathetic child company - after a day or two, the fears pass. We do not recommend her to loud, very energetic, and somewhat difficult-to-handle children. Healthwise, Tokyo has already undergone sterilization surgery due to pyometra. We treat her eyes with drops for granular conjunctivitis. Blood test results are good except for anemia, which we have already started supplementing. The ultrasound did not reveal any abnormalities, and the general examination showed that she is doing well in terms of joints: patellas and ligaments are OK. She has an elongated palate - it will require further evaluation and correction. After a dermatological consultation, we know that Tokyo is allergic to cereals and some meats; currently, she can safely eat horse meat-based food (she eats John Dog Pure Black Special, if someone wants to give her a few cans). A cardiological examination revealed Endocardiosis in stage B1. At this stage, it does not require treatment - for control next year. Tokyo na start pokazała się nam jako sunia dość spokojna i delikatna. Jednak wraz z upływającym czasem i lepszym poznawaniem się, obserwujemy u niej tendencję do skupiania się na jednym opiekunie (przy czym pozostałych domowników zaczyna mieć totalnie w duszy). Z dobrych wieści - Tokyo świetnie odnajduje się w warunkach domowych. Zachowuje czystość przy regularnych spacerach, potrafi zostawać sama, nie niszczy i nie należy do szczekliwych psiaków. Bardzo dobrze podróżuje samochodem, a na spacerach trzyma się swojego opiekuna. Wszystko wskazuje na to, że odnajdzie się zarówno w mieszkaniu, jak i domu z ogrodem. Obecnie mieszka w domu tymczasowym z innymi psami. W pierwszym kontakcie bywa wobec psów nieco nieśmiała, ale ładnie się z nimi komunikuje się i szanuje ich przestrzeń. Kota miała okazję spotkać tylko raz, większe zainteresowanie wzbudził w niej człowiek niż mruczek. Od dzieci stroni w pierwszym kontakcie, ale dając jej przestrzeń, czas i spokojne, empatyczne dziecięce towarzystwo - po dniu, dwóch lęki przechodzą. Nie polecamy jej napewno do dzieci głośnych, bardzo energicznych i nieco trudniejszych w obyciu. Zdrowotnie Tokyo jest już po zabiegu sterylizacji wykonanym z uwagi na ropomacicze. Leczymy oczka kropelkami na grudkowe zapalenie spojówek. Wyniki badań krwi są dobre poza anemią, na którą już wdrożyliśmy suplementację. Badanie USG nie wykazało nieprawidłowości, a w badaniu ogólnym, stawowo wygląda dobrze: rzepki i więzadła OK. Sunia ma za długie podniebienie - wymagać będzie dalszej oceny i korekty. Po konsultacji dermatologicznej wiemy, że Tokyo jest uczulona na zboża i część mięs, obecnie bezpiecznie może zajadać karmę z koniną (wcina John Dog Pure Black Special, gdyby ktoś miał ochotę jej podarować parę puszeczek). Badanie kardiologiczne wykazało Endokardiozę w stopniu B1. W obecnym stadium nie wymaga leczenia - do kontroli za rok. Rozpoczynamy nabór ankiet adopcyjnych na dom dla panienki.
