🥺 Senior Tolek is losing hope of finding a home… Help him before he fades away completely 💔 Tolek is an older, medium-sized dog who spends most of the day sleeping in his bed. He is calm, quiet, and no trouble at all. All he wants is a little warmth and human closeness. He loves being petted and having contact with people. But there isn't much of that in the shelter… Day by day he is fading more and more. We are afraid he will give up soon. 😢 🔸 He is gentle🔸 He doesn't need long walks🔸 Perfect for a quiet home🔸 He will be a loyal, quiet companion Don't let him die forgotten behind bars. Share. Maybe someone is looking for exactly this kind of dog. For Tolek, every day may be a matter of life. 📞 Adoption contact:👉 730 505 255👉 515 131 350

🥺 Seniorek Tolek traci nadzieję na dom… Pomóż mu zanim zgaśnie całkiem 💔 Tolek to starszy, średniej wielkości psiak, który większość dnia przesypia w swoim legowisku. Jest spokojny, cichy, nie sprawia problemów. Jedyne, czego pragnie – to odrobina ciepła i ludzkiej bliskości. Kocha pieszczoty i kontakt z człowiekiem. 📞 Kontakt w sprawie adopcji:👉 730 505 255👉 515 131 350

About Tolek

What life with Tolek looks like

Tolek is a medium-sized senior mixed breed dog waiting at Schronisko dla Zwierząt w Zawierciu in Poland.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Frequently asked

Adopting Tolek, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tolek?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko dla Zwierząt w Zawierciu handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tolek on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tolek if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko dla Zwierząt w Zawierciu will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Tolek already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tolek isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko dla Zwierząt w Zawierciu early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tolek and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
