Tom: a large, sweet and friendly 3-year-old who is looking for a forever home. Tom had been living on the streets for some time and was getting thinner. After inquiring, it turned out he belonged to no one and so he came to us. Even here, no one seemed to miss this boy, so we promised him that a very nice place was waiting for him! Tom is a large boy and sometimes has a somewhat angry look. He sits on his scratching post, waiting, and at first you might think, can I pet him. But appearances are deceiving, Tom is very sweet! He just doesn't come running up to everyone here and finds life at the shelter a bit exciting. But as soon as you talk to him and walk towards him, he lets out a meow and as soon as you pet him, he really enjoys it! He loves attention and seems to feel special when you give him all your attention. Tom lives here with other cats and that goes well, although he is not the toughest here. He lets the little underdogs make decisions 😉. So he could live with a cat, but then it must be a sweet cat that leaves him alone or at least doesn't become very dominant with him, because then he withdraws. Tom finds it all a bit exciting here and we think he would fit better in a nice and quieter household. That he gets some time to get used to, but then he can show his sweet character completely. Tom has lived outside for a long time and despite the fact that we never see him in the outdoor kennel, we think he would like to be able to get a fresh breath in the future. So we are looking for a nice and loving home for Tom where this boy can be completely happy!

Tom: een grote, lieve en vriendelijke knul van 3 jaar jong die opzoek is naar een gouden mandje. Tom liep al enige tijd op een plek en werd steeds magerder. Na rondvragen bleek hij van niemand te zijn en zodoende is hij bij ons gekomen. Ook bij ons bleek niemand deze knul te missen en hebben wij hem beloofd dat er ergens een heel fijn plekje op hem wacht! Tom is een knul die best groot is en soms een wat boze blik heeft. Hij zit dan afwachtend op zijn krabpaal en in eerste instantie zal je denken, kan ik hem aaien. Maar schijn bedriegt helemaal want Tom is heel erg lief! Hij is gewoon geen jongen die hier op iedereen afgestormd komt en vindt het leven in het asiel wat spannend. Maar zodra je dus tegen hem praat en richting hem loopt, doet hij al een miauwtje en zodra je hem aait geniet hij hier heel erg van! Hij vindt het heerlijk om aandacht te krijgen en lijkt zich bijna speciaal te voelen dat je alle aandacht voor hem hebt. Tom leeft hier met andere katten en dat gaat prima, al is hij hier niet de stoerste. Hij laat zo kleine onderdeurtjes beslissingen nemen 😉. Hij zou dus met een kat samen kunnen wonen, maar dan moet dit wel een lieve kat zijn die hem met rust laat of in ieder geval niet heel dominant gaat doen tegen hem, want dan trekt hij zich terug. Tom vindt het hier allemaal wat spannend en we denken dat hij in een fijn en rustiger huishouden gewoon beter past. Dat hij even de tijd krijgt om te wennen, maar dan zijn lieve karakter helemaal kan laten zien. Tom heeft dus langere tijd buiten geleefd en ondanks wij hem hier nooit in de buitenkennel zien, denken we dat hij in de toekomst wel graag een frisse neus wilt kunnen halen. Voor Tom zoeken wij dus een fijn en liefdevol huishouden waar deze knul helemaal gelukkig mag worden!
