Here comes a really big portion of dog - Giant Tomi has a heart of gold, loves all people and is looking for a home with plenty of space! So, please strong people with lots of space in home and heart, come forward - here are 62 kilograms of concentrated love and joy waiting to be able to give it away! A very large couch in the new home would be an advantage - because Tomi really loves to snuggle. This giant named Tomi was simply left behind by his "family" when they moved away; therefore he is now in the animal shelter and is looking for a suitable, loving home from here. Tomi is about 5 years old, but often behaves like a big baby according to the shelter team. He is very people-oriented, clever, and understands quickly what is expected of him. Our Hungarian team often uses the English term "Love Bomb" for such dogs, and this especially applies to Tomi. That such a giant would be out of place in a city apartment is probably obvious. Ideally, a house with ground-level access to a secured garden would be perfect - and people who can match Tomi's physical strength. Young children should not live in the new home - Tomi would probably only want to cuddle them, but in his still very energetic way, he might accidentally "knock them over". Tomin tested positive for heartworms. The treatment is already underway - and Tomi takes his medication in an unimitable way: Every time, he sits calmly in front of his caretaker and snatches the pills he needs from the air! After the one-month antibiotic treatment, Tomi will then need a spot-on treatment once a month for a total of one year in order to completely combat the parasites. If detected in time, heartworms can be successfully and completely treated with a very high probability. Most dogs are neither affected in their well-being by the parasites themselves nor by the treatment. Heartworms are not contagious - neither to dogs, nor to humans or other animals, contrary to frequently found claims. Hier kommt mal eine RICHTIG große Portion Hund - RieseTomi hat ein Herz aus Gold, liebt alle Menschen und wünscht sich ein Zuhause mit viel Platz! So, bitte starke Leute mit viel Platz in Heim und Herz mal vor - hier warten 62 Kilo geballte Liebe und Lebensfreude darauf, diese verschenken zu dürfen! Eine SEHR große Couch im neuen Zuhause wäre von Vorteil - denn Tomi schmust für sein Leben gern. Dieser Gigant mit Namen Tomi wurde von seiner "Familie" einfach zurück gelassen, als diese wegzog; deshalb ist er nun im Tierheim und sucht von hier aus ein passendes, liebevolles Zuhause. Tomi ist ungefähr 5 Jahre alt, benimmt sich laut Tierheimteam häufig aber noch wie ein Riesenbaby. Er ist sehr menschenbezogen, clever und versteht sehr schnell, was von ihm erwartet wird. Unser ungarisches Team nutzt für solche Hunde gern den englischen Begriff "Love Bomb", und das trifft bei Tomi besonders zu. Dass ein solcher Riese im Großstadtappartment eher fehl am Platze ist, versteht sich wohl von selbst. Ideal wäre natürlich ein Haus mit ebenerdigem Zugang zu einem gesicherten Garten - und Menschen, die es mit der Körperkraft von Tomi aufnehmen können. Kleinere Kinder sollten im neuen Zuhause besser nicht leben - Tomi würde diese wahrscheinlich auch nur beschmusen wollen, in seiner noch sehr ungestümen Art aber wohl versehentlich einfach "umnieten". Tomin wurde positiv auf Filarien getestet. Die Behandlung läuft bereits - und Tomi nimmt seine Medikamente auf unnachahmliche Art: Jedes Mal setzt er sich vor seine Betreuerin brav hin und schnappt die Tabletten, die er nehmen muss, aus der Luft auf! Nach Abschluss der einmonatigen Antibiosebehandlung benötigt Tomi dann lediglich für insgesamt ein Jahr lang einmal im Monat ein Spot-On, um die Parasiten vollständig zu bekämpfen. Rechtzeitig erkannt und behandelt, können Filarien mit sehr hoher Wahrscheinlichkeit erfolgreich und rückstandslos bekämpft werden. Die allermeisten Hunde sind weder durch die Parasiten selbst noch durch die Behandlung in ihrem Wohlbefinden beeinträchtigt. Filarien sind entgegen häufig zu findender Behauptungen NICHT ansteckend- weder für Hunde noch für den Menschen oder andere Tiere.
