Tommy is a rottweiler-pinto American Akita mix, born in July 2020. Tommy weighs around 36 kg and stands at a shoulder height of about 65 cm. Tommy came from a seizure. In the past, there were already three incidents involving Tommy and his partner Honey with other dogs. As a result, there are now restrictions with muzzle and leash requirements outside of their own property. In July 2024, Tommy came to the animal shelter Lüneburg together with Honey from another animal shelter. Tommy shows a friendly demeanor towards people at the animal shelter and is an extremely popular candidate for going for walks. He loves to cuddle. Previously, Honey was his boss, but now he needs someone who can clearly communicate with him about where to go. Sometimes, he behaves distantly and does not want to listen to what the person tells him. However, under supervision and with training, Tommy shows cooperative behavior, even when with other dogs.

Tommy ist ein rotweiÃschwarzer pinto Amerikanischer Akita-Rüde, geboren Juli 2020. Tommy wiegt ca. 36 kg und hat eine Schulterhöhe von ca. 65 cm. Tommy stammt aus einer Beschlagnahme. Es gab in der Vergangenheit bereits drei BeiÃvorfälle von Tommy zusammen mit seiner Partnerin Honey mit anderen Hunden. Die Folge sind Auflagen mit Maulkorb- und Leinenpflicht auÃerhalb des eigenen Grundstücks. Im Juli 2024 kam Tommy zusammen mit Honey aus einem anderen Tierheim in das Tierheim Lüneburg. Tommy zeigt sich im Tierheim dem Menschen gegenüber als freundlich und ist für das Gassigehen ein äuÃerst beliebter Kandidat. Er liebt es zu kuscheln. Früher war Honey seine Chefin, jetzt braucht er einen Menschen, der ihm klar kommuniziert, wo es lang geht. Teilweise verhält er sich distanzlos und möchte nicht so gerne auf das hören, was der Mensch ihm sagt. Unter Beaufsichtigung und mit Training zeigt sich Tommy jedoch durchaus kooperativ, auch mit anderen Hunden zusammen.
