Tortelloni

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy

Tortelloni Rasse: Dackel Mix Size: approx. 25 cm (growing) Born: April 2026 Sex: Male Location: Debrecen (Hungary) With dogs? Compatible with cats? Certainly compatible Housebroken? No Participation: 450,- Euro Tortelloni - a little heartbreaker is looking for a home ❤️ The charming Tortelloni is a dachshund-mix male, born in April 2026, and was about 25 cm tall in August. We cannot predict his final size. Together with his mom Gnocchi, Tortelloni was found in the woods - presumably they were abandoned. Initially, they were very shy and it took a lot of patience to secure them. But Tortelloni has made incredibly beautiful progress since then. Every day, he overcomes his fears a little more, gains confidence, and discovers how beautiful the proximity to people can be. Meanwhile, Tortelloni shows himself to be an incredibly sweet, cuddly, and affectionate little fellow. He is agile, curious, and playful in a puppy-typical way and now wants to get to know the big wide world.Of course, he still needs to learn the dog-1x1 like housebreaking and leash training. Leash training is already being practiced diligently and Tortelloni is making progress every day. He is compatible with other dogs. We can also imagine living with cats and test this if needed. We are looking for loving and patient people for Tortelloni, who give him security, show him the world, and close him in their hearts forever. A fenced garden would be nice, but it is not a must. After his difficult start, Tortelloni now only needs one thing: a home where he can finally arrive and just be loved. PLEASE NOTE: If you are interested in one of our dogs, we first need a self-disclosure from you. The corresponding questionnaire can be found in the respective ad of the dog on our website www.tierschutz-pfote.de, which you can fill out online. We can arrange a meeting and a possible

About Tortelloni

What life with Tortelloni looks like

Tortelloni is a large puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tierschutz-Pfote e.V. in Lohmar.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Tortelloni, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Tortelloni?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutz-Pfote e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Tortelloni on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Tortelloni if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutz-Pfote e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Tortelloni already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Tortelloni isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutz-Pfote e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Tortelloni and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
