Toru

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Kitten · 3 months

Toru is a small bundle of affection. At 3 months old, Toru is a true welcoming kitten: as soon as you come home, it greets you. It adores being carried like a baby, with its belly up, which makes it particularly adorable. It’s a affectionate little guy, a bit more independent than its twin sister Mei, who is the cuddliest of the two. Raised by its mother and with its siblings, it’s a balanced, social, and cuddly kitten. This striped little bundle is in priority double adoption with its sister Mei. They are both visible in the 12th arrondissement of Paris under the Adopte Un Matou association. They are offered for adoption: microchipped, primovaccinated (against feline infectious peritonitis and cat flu), and dewormed (for worms and fleas). Their spaying/neutering is mandatory and non-negotiable (clause of the adoption contract) as of their 6 months. Adoption fees: 180 € each. Placement followed. The exteriors (windows, balconies) of their future home must be secured: preventing a kitten or cat from escaping or falling (we reject all applications that do not meet this condition).

About Toru

What life with Toru looks like

Toru is a small puppy/kitten mixed breed cat waiting at Adopte Un Matou in Maurecourt.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.

Frequently asked

Adopting Toru, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Toru?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Adopte Un Matou handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Toru on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Toru if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Adopte Un Matou will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Toru already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Toru isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Adopte Un Matou early rather than rehoming privately; they know Toru and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
