Toto arrived at our shelter in May 2026 from Kaštela, together with Luco and her eight puppies, with a message to people who hoped they could help. He is of the type of Istrian hunting dog. Upon arrival, he was visibly thin, exhausted, and in poor health. After veterinary treatment, he was diagnosed with leishmaniasis, and a long road to recovery, therapy, and treatment lies ahead. Despite his difficult condition, he is currently in constant care and receives all the needed affection to give him a chance for a better and higher quality of life, which every dog deserves. Toto currently needs peace, stability, and continuous veterinary care, as well as people who understand the severity of his health condition, but also believe in the possibility of recovery with proper treatment and affection. His battle has just begun, but he has the chance for a new beginning. Toto is under medical findings at the NO KILL shelter Animalis Centrum and is under constant veterinary supervision. Treatment for leishmaniasis and all other necessary medical measures are being carried out to stabilize his condition. The animals under our protection seek a home in Croatia and internationally, and most importantly, we want them to find a safe, stable, and warm home. ❤️ If you are interested in providing support or adopting Tota, please fill out the application form linked below for medical findings. Toto je stigao u sklonište u svibnju 2026. godine iz Kaštela, zajedno s Lucom i njezinih osam štenaca, uz poruku ljudi koji su se nadali da će im se moći pomoći. Riječ je o psu u tipu istarskog goniča. Po dolasku je bio izrazito mršav, iscrpljen i u lošem zdravstvenom stanju. Nakon veterinarske obrade dijagnosticirana mu je lišmanija te je pred njim dug put oporavka, terapije i liječenja. Unatoč teškom stanju, sada je pod stalnom skrbi i dobiva svu potrebnu njegu kako bi mu se pružila šansa za bolji i kvalitetniji život, kakav svaki pas zaslužuje. Toto trenutno treba mir, stabilnost i kontinuiranu veterinarsku skrb, kao i ljude koji razumiju ozbiljnost njegovog zdravstvenog stanja, ali i vjeruju u mogućnost oporavka uz pravilnu terapiju i njegu. Njegova borba tek počinje, ali ima priliku za novi početak. Toto se nalazi u NO KILL skloništu Animalis Centrum i pod stalnim je veterinarskim nadzorom. Provodi se terapija za lišmaniju te sve ostale potrebne medicinske mjere kako bi se stabiliziralo njegovo stanje.
