Toto – a sensitive loner seeks experienced and caring people with heart and structure. Toto came to us as a found dog and shows attentiveness, willingness to learn, and good responsiveness with familiar people. However, he also brings with him uncertainties and behavioral peculiarities, which is why he seeks a home with experienced and empathetic people who can provide him with orientation and security. What sets Toto apart, he knows and follows basic commands very well. His behavior is controllable based on the mood and energy of trusted people; he is open and eager to learn, and can be walked in appropriate dog groups. He can be well managed at our shelter – especially by known volunteer staff. His thyroid medication is provided free of charge for life at our veterinary practice. What must be worked on with Toto includes showing uncertainties during stimulus changes (e.g., mouthing during light turning off), being unsure around strangers and other dogs; he is not compatible with other male dogs – there have been bite incidents. Stubborn house training and being left alone still need to be tested and, if necessary, addressed.

Ich bin Toto ein sensibler Einzelgänger auf der Suche nach erfahrenen Menschen mit Herz. Das bin ich: Ich wurde gefunden und leider nicht mehr abgeholt. Im Tierheim zeige ich mich bei vertrauten Personen aufmerksam, lernfreudig und gut ansprechbar. Allerdings habe ich auch Unsicherheiten und Verhaltensbesonderheiten und suche deshalb ein Zuhause bei erfahrenen und einfühlsamen Menschen, die mir Orientierung und Sicherheit geben. Die Grundkommandos beherrsche ich und lasse mich von meinen Bezugspersonen gut über Stimmung und Energie steuern. Hier im Tierheim komme ich in geeigneten Hundegruppen gut klar. Und ich lasse mich hier auch gut an der Leine führen. An meinen Unsicherheiten bei Reizwechseln muss ich noch arbeiten (Licht ausschalten macht mir zum Beispiel Angst). Auch fremden Menschen und Hunden gegenüber bin ich unsicher. Mit Rüden bin ich nicht verträglich. Ob ich auch mal allein bleiben kann, müsste getestet und gegebenenfalls geduldig geübt werden. Der Besuch einer Hundeschule wäre gut für mich. Ich wünsche mir ein ruhiges, hundeerfahrenes Zuhause, das mir Struktur und Sicherheit vermittelt und Verständnis für unsichere und verhaltensauffällige Hunde hat. Andere Tiere oder Kinder sollten nicht im Haushalt leben. Meine Menschen sollten einfühlsam sein und mir Zeit geben, Vertrauen zu fassen, sowie mit Trainerunterstützung mit mir zu arbeiten. Vielleicht passen wir ja perfekt zusammen?
