Travis

Poodle · Male · Young · 3 years

02-10-26 Travis is a wonderful boy who has come to us from a breeder and is a very happy and friendly little guy. He is very excited to meet new people and loves nothing more than having a fuss and getting lots of attention. He is a confident boy who really enjoys being around people and is sure to make a lovely companion. Travis has the confidence to be an only dog in the right home where his adopters can give him all the attention he deserves, or he could live with a kind and friendly resident dog who is just as happy and outgoing as he is. He can also live with sensible older children, aged 13+ who will understand that he may need a little time to settle into his new life. Travis has never lived in a home before, so his adopters will need to be kind and patient as he learns all about the new things that come with being a much-loved pet. This will include learning about house training and walking nicely on a lead, but with plenty of encouragement and support, we are sure he will get there. Travis is a great little boy with a lovely personality and lots of love to give, and he is now ready to find a loving home where he can continue to blossom and enjoy all that life has to offer! He has a travel document. This dog can be homed with a resident dog.

About Travis

What life with Travis looks like

Travis is a young adult poodle dog waiting at Many Tears Animal Rescue in Llanelli.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Travis, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Travis?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Many Tears Animal Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Travis on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Travis if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Many Tears Animal Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Travis already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Travis isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Many Tears Animal Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Travis and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
